What do you hope humanity will achieve within the next 100 years?

Im not talking world peace or flying cars and teleportation here, im talking realistic hopes, for what humanity may achieve within the next 100 years, nothing hugely far fetched.

For me, i hope we finally discover a viable alternate fuel source, with enough of it to go around for the whole planet, i personally think it could do wonders for us, what about you guys?

I would like significant advances in medical technology and in energy sources.

Super cheap abundant alternative energy would probably be my one big realistic hope. Irrefutable proof and contact with extraterrestrial intelligent life within our galaxy.

Other things that I hope for but won't happen.
Humanity advancing beyond our technological adolence without self annihilation.
A method of travel (maybe transportation) to allow people to travel from one side of the globe to the other in mere minutes.

Have to agree on this one. Even the construction of organs based on tissue taken from the recipient in conjunction with organic scaffolding would do wonders to drastically reduce wait times, assuming that it's quick and not extremely expensive.
