Kona 2012: Something is not right (Know the Truth)

First I want to say what Kony has done is horrible. I was side swiped by this video and I wanted to help. Nobody had even heard of this guy a few days ago. The footage is from 6 years ago. He is no-longer has the power that he did. Although not harmless but he is not nearly a threat like he was. So it would be like watching footage of Katrina and thinking New Orleans is like it was after the hurricane. Most of the governments in Africa do snatch kids to make them soliders (like the we did a few hundred years ago). Its horrible, but the elites have targeted this guy so they can invade Uganda. How do you think this video blew up like crazy, its everywhere. Something big is behind these trendy kids on this video. Look at how many people have viewed this emotionally gripping video (36 Million). Think about how much money is being donated for this "cause". They are charging $30 for their vandalism package. When the genocide originally happened nobody did anything. But now many years later, after big oil has been found in Uganda (spring 2011) they figured out a way to get millions of people demand war "Peace Bombs". They want to run China out of that area, and they know if there is a strong US presence there they will leave. So they want everybody to demand a military campaign to find a weasel with a few hundred soliders. We spent how many years in Afganistan? Oh the biggest and most hightech force on earth can't find 1 guy. Common we are still in Afghanistan. Why? Heroine. THere is more dope growing there then before we invaded. The government just passed a law where they can just label you a terrorist, arrest you, and kill you on US soil and they don't have to do anything but say you are a terrorist. No Judge no jury, nothing. Do you all really like having some pervert at the airport touching your gentiles every time you fly? Please Horde and Alliance don't let these people carry out their plan. Millions of people will die if this "operation" goes through.

It's not even worth your time imo. I'm not bashing on it, sure, try to help them. I'm just one that'd rather help their own country before attempting to help others. Also wtf is with the products "Kony 2012"...it's like I'm supporting him for president or something. This. America was planning to strike Syria next, but they kinda missed the opportunity, so instead they need a new bad guy. He is wanted since 2005 by International Criminal Court, but only now he gets attention via some short film?

Hey- I hear Uganda is the only country in Africa that's unstable. I hear all the other countries are peaceful with a well developed infrastructure; abundant clean drinking water; and healthy, diverse economies.

It's this guy and his army of 200 kids that's keeping Africa from being entirely stable. With him gone, the whole continent will be in excellent condition.

I think I'd rather be a deluded hippie at least trying to make a difference to the world and improve real people's lives, than an armchair cynic nitpicking the campaign because it fails to address every problem the world faces today. Yes Africa as a whole has lots of problems, many not documented by Kony 2012, but if we allowed ourselves to be paralysed because of the spectrum of issues than nothing will ever change.

If the Kony 2012 campaign works, then it is a feather in the cap for people power. If anything will define the 21st century it is technology letting people have a collective voice that cannot be silenced.
