    Teemo: AP or AD?

I've checked so many forums on which build would be better for teemo, but I could never find a straight answer. A lot of people say AD/AS with the on hit items, but isn't all of his skill based on AP? I've seen people with pure AP builds with the gunblade and rabadon's just nuke people, but my experience with Teemo has mainly been with the on hit items like malady and wit's end.

    What's your opinion?

If you build AP you are useless once the enemy gets an oracle. They just kill your shrooms and move along. All you can do is a miniscule nuke with q and some dot damage through e. AP teemo is just for derping around.

On-hit item stacking teemo sounds about right. You want to be a little tanky through stuff like Frozen Mallet too.

I prefer him with a tanky on-hit item build.

Either play passive A.Speed Teemo where the goal is to push lanes & snipe like a little scamp or slightly tank-y Teemo w/ proc attacks. AP is garbage totally.

Dont forget the passive of teemo :
    "Ultra taunt "
Everybody want to hill this poor teemo ;/

I get mordred then frozen mallet then attack speed. Pretty much kills anything. I also like to push a lane then go hide in a random spot till enemy leaves then push again. Makes them waste their time in that lane either defending or looking for me while my allies push the other lanes.

They are both equally viable builds, AD is for the player who wants to just right click and be a normal AD carry, AP requires alot more timing and skill because you need to mushroom bait etc. It comes down to whatever your preference is, tried and tested they both do more or less the same damage. Hope this helps.

I'd suggest you wait for the game to end and then never pick teemo again.

Unfortunately he's useless compared to many other champions. It's sad, but I imagine he will have a rework/buff around the corner :/

EDIT: I suppose that if you're intent on playing teemo, on-hit teemo is best. Wits end, madreds if they're beefy.

Ok, I have come to the conclusion that all people denying that AP teemo is good, well, needs to rethink that. Playing 4 games tonight AP teemo mid, scores of: 10-3-14,12-1-6,4-1-21,16-2-5.

It wrecks so much if you time everything correctly. I get people to chase me from mid into one of the jungles and have them run through all my mushrooms. Once that dot is ticking, nuke them with a blind shot and they are practically done. AP also works so much better for the toxic shot DoT combined with ignite, I really don't even have to turret dive.

I usually go a bit tanky and get AS + Madreds.

    AP is not garbage.
Not the ideal build, but it can be very effective. Your damage can be scary if you can bait people to your mushrooms, and if the enemy team gets an oracle coordinate your team to gank him. The hardest part is not playing AP Teemo, but coordinate your team to get his full advantage.

But generally speaking, AS/AP or AD is almost always the way to go.

I find them pretty even. I prefer AP Teemo for mid laning, and I usually do the AD/AS for top lanes with a strong champion with good CC like sion or pantheon

First off, AP Teemo isn't garbage.

Secondly, if you build Teemo you have to chose between being a team fight teemo or a tower teemo. Go full AP/AS and you'll destroy towers. Set up mushrooms as an early warning system and people can't even gank you while you do it. Even if you only peel one or two players off and they do kill you, your team now has a 4v3 on top tower if you're bottom. He's easily the most annoying character in the game. Take teleport, laugh and continue on.

If you also want to go full AP, any successful AP Teemo will ditch his AP items around the 35-45 minute mark and go full AD/AS. With those items he destroys towers faster late game but early game you can simply get more AP and AP scales his abilities better (blinding shot doing 1/4th of someones life and they can't hit him is ridiculous). Also, don't forget mushrooms can be used defensively. That shaco just deceived? Toss a mushroom on top of yourself so he has to think twice about it.

I usually play Teemo exclusively as AD/AS and haven't had that much experience with AP but it requires alot more planning on your part (Kind of like Shaco always having a Jitb nearby as an exit from a dicey situation). Plus smart opponents with Oracles limits your shroom coverage.

The great thing about Teemo compared to other AD carrys is his speed and his blind. Using those correctly will help your team greatly.. (Plus a well landed Q can make Tryn rage ^^)

ON hit teemo is by far the best teemo build. Also, your job is not to team fight, its to split push the entire fucking game and free farm.

I normally buy Hextech gunblade cause of the the lifesteal, spellvamp, and ofc the use effect. Its imba to be in stealth and wait for some one to walk into your shrooms and then
    pop blinding dart, and Hextech.

AP Teemo is garbage because he is completely countered by Oracles. You rely so much on those shrooms and all the enemy has to do is buy an Oracles and your are useless. Teemo's APs ratios are too small to try to enhance your E and he also becomes squishy as hell building AP, Global Taunt Teemo becomes Auto Taunt Teemo.

  18. #18
Even if you get Oracles, most of the time you'll still trigger the mushroom before destroying it. (A good AP Teemo will lure the enemy into them, but also put them in brushes where you can't see anyway).

(not being mean) but if you wish to be useful on teemo, you NEED to build attack/attack speed.

His main purpose is split pushing / backdooring, his ult allows him vision so that you can safely push without fear of counter attacks.

Eh, i'm amazed no one has mentioned this so far; AD (Aka, carry) Teemo is actually really good with certain setups. Think of it like this: How many carries has a cc that allows them to dmg the enemy carry undisturbed, while the enemy carry can't retaliate? That's Vayne, and her E is conditional.

AoE setups would destroy Teemo, just like Vayne. But if the enemy has a single-target focused setup, Teemo can be hellish. Staying in cover and entering late (If possible) and just surprise them.
Teemo is, despite what many might think, hard to play, because he is really, really squishy and his range is rather short, and his only inbuilt damage starts to fall around lvl 12.
Fed Teemo is scary if you do it right.
The biggest mistake one can make, is not admitting when you're wrong.
