    Morde op...or not?

    The title says it all.
Do you think that Mordekaiser is OP ?
Or do you think it depends on the playstyle of him.
    I think its cause playstyle.

Nah. The whole OP thing is overblown in general.

Mord is fine, IMO. Can be devastating in the right group comp. Same could be said of most champs, so whatever.

I agree, it's usually to do with the summoner and not the Champion.

Well, people tend to label stuff as overpowered as shorthand for any slight imbalance. Overpowered implies an imbalance that is extreme not some circumstantial nonsense like, "Mord farmed for 30mins, bought 800 AP worth of items. GG"

How many champs are not scary with farm? How many more are l;ate game powerhouses vis-a-vis early game wimps?

It's a truly frivolous term now a days to label something OP.

If you let Morde farm and then ulti your AD carry, you deserve to lose. =P
He is not that hard to shut down in the lane phase, he is extremly vulnerable to being ganks and there are a lot of mages that will just straight out kill him. So no, I dont think he is OP. He used to be, but not anymore.

  8. #8
He's only OP in low elo where no one knows how to last hit.

  9. #9
Morde is fine. Just l2counter him.

Morde seems op. Farming with mordekaiser is extremely easy, you don't have to put any effort into it. You just follow the rotation of lane, your wraiths, lane, enemy wraiths and easily outfarm your lane opponent without breaking a sweat. People at low-mid elo don't farm efficiently. They might last hit well, but they will waste time not doing anything towards the ending of the laning phase. This shortcoming is circumvented by playing Mordekaiser. That's what makes him seem op.

As Rampant said: L2 counter. Also, farming with morde is easy, yeah. If you can shut him down early game, he'll just farm and just win the game.
Started 1/3 vs kennen mid jax jungler, and I got back from it by farming and getting good ganks/ganking.

After the shieldnerf hes not OP anymore, hes more or less balanced (tho pps QQ about "op" builds @ him lalla)
But, yeah... Ulti ignite EQ combo your carry is dead and you lost the teamfight cus you dont have the carry in the right position...

The thing with Morde is that you need to choose: farm creeps or harrass. Can't do both.

I have faced morde a lot in top lane as Riven. I just change my build a little, rushing hexdrinker and merc threads. And then pressure him! He is actually not that hard to counter.

  14. #14
Not OP, put somebody with any type of lifesteal in the mid to counter him and if you can't do that just keep a couple ganks on him. Mord's issue is he clearly creep waves to easily to not always be pushed up. I call it the Galio effect.

I don't have real counters against him and hate playing against him. If he has a minion wave that he can damage his shield will absorb so much damage its almost impossible to effectively harras, especially once he gets spellvamp. I still need to find a proper counter for him

Depends on which champ I'm playing, Yorick for example has an easy time against Morde.

Low elo as in 1k.. as I am? Ehh.. when your team is most likely retarded and dont have a brain to think with or eyes to see with, you're gonna loose.
Morde op in lowelo...? When did elo become a "omg op champ" l2 counter. ty

It's been over a year since I played the champion, but back in beta everyone pretty much followed http://forum.leaguecraft.com/index.p...-heat-n-serve/ which just stomped everything. Sorc Boots + Sunfire Capex4 + Frozen Mallet usually.

I know it isn't much help but at least its a frame of reference. Also here are a couple of screen shots from a long time ago but shows the general idea of how OP it truly was. http://i.imgur.com/s19ap.jpg http://i.imgur.com/lF2Hy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3UcJg.jpg

The old times when most items didn't have any "Unique" effects.

I've been steamrolled by good Morde's, and done the same to bad ones. He's a tricky guy to play at times, but if you're good with him then you can devastate entire teams.
