Nah, you see, wearing the tusks of the pitlord is a bad move. They have not been "cleansed" and are still fel, so they are slowly corrupting garrosh. Not corrupting as in "HUE HUE HUE BURNING LEGION" but more as in "BLOOD AND RAPE AND I WILL KICK YOUR ASS", old horde style.

Well Lead Quest Designer Dave Kosak for one.

...And there'll be other events building up to this -- what's happening with Wrynn, with Garrosh, such that in our final raid, everybody has a reason to kick down the gates of Orgrimmar and take down Garrosh.
Roleplaying, hardcore Raiding, running LFR on the occasional weekend, PvPing, rolling alts, achievement hunting, pet battling, or just enacting an endless series of whims, I don't care how you play WoW. Just as long as you have fun doing it.

few reasons 1 its traditions that the warchief of the horde be orc 2 the horde is an orcish society and orcs will always be figurehead to it much like a gnome will never be the leader of the alliance its the same reason Primary language of the horde is orcish 3 and last thing and the one thing i must stress to all vol jin fans the reason i know blizz will never do a non orc warchief is ORC AND HUMAN this is what its been from this is where it started and its where it will end Warcraft: Orcs & Humans everything else is not a figurehead race and are Secondary races in blizzard's eyes

The raid starts at the Barrens entrance of the city. The bulk of the Horde's army lays siege to Orgrimmar from the front gate in collaboration with the Alliance, who attack from the rear.

    1. Named Pit Lord or Eredar, assuming Garrosh's corruption is demon-based. This would reside in a demon-infested Valley of Spirits, where the trolls of the city were driven out during the takeover. Could have Vol'jin assist the players here in some way.

    2. Trade Prince Gallywix, Goblin Slums. Gallywix and a good number of evil-minded goblins side with Garrosh, building engines of war for him under the promise of tremendous profit. Gallywix himself would fight the raid in a super-powered shredder.

    3. Magatha Grimtotem in the Valley of Wisdom. Your raid assists Baine, Gamon and an army of tauren in driving off Magatha's elementals, leading up to a confrontation with the treacherous shaman herself. Garrosh probably struck a deal with her at some point, despite his previous hatred of her interfering with his duel with Cairne.

    4. Kor'kron War Council, Valley of Honor. This would take place as a large event throughout the Valley of Honor, where a large-scale battle takes place between Garrosh's loyalists and an Alliance army invading from the rear gate. Your raid assists the Alliance in taking control of the Valley of Honor. The Kor'kron War Council would comprise of five of Garrosh's mightiest warriors, which you do battle with in the Valley of Honor barracks.

    5. Neeru Fireblade. Once the Valley of Honor is secured, the combined Alliance and Horde forces prepare to push into the Drag. Before that can be done, a demonic threat must be dealt with in the Cleft of Shadow. Led by Neeru Fireblade, a powerful orcish warlock, the raid must deal with an empowered Searing Blade cult as well as an army of Burning Legion demons.

    6. The Drag Gauntlet. This would be an intense and epic battle between Garrosh's loyalists and the combined might of the Alliance/Horde forces. The raid battles alongside the coalition, led by leaders of both the Alliance and Horde. When things look bleak, an unexpected ally in the form of High Overlord Saurfang arrives to help turn things around.

    7. Warchief Garrosh Hellscream. It all ends in Garrosh's throne room once the trap is closed. Probably a lot of cool dialogue that goes on beforehand. It would also probably involve a lot of famous names. I'd imagine it would be pretty epic, though.

Just bored and thought a bit on this. Feel free to add your input.

Read first before you claim others do not make sense.

OT: i was actually discussing this last night with some friends. I just dont see how if this is a raid the bosses wont be complete random no namers who we have no idea even existed. Unless they want to obliterate the entirety of the horde faction leaders. Which could be fun :P

    2) Semi-new mechanics boss - Kor'Garrosh Guard gauntlet, with boss (Kor'Garrosh general or sth), maybe with Morale bar that has to be keept as high as possible so friendly npcs dont slack around and you arent overwhelmed by adds

    3) "This one guy nobody knows wtf is really about him" - Wolfmaster, maybe one of Hunter Trainers, who fights on his wolf at first, but then they turn into separate bosses

    4) Aerial fight - Flight Master Doras and Kor'Garrosh troops on Wyverns

    5) Revealing of a great intrigue - Grimtotem show up at this moment, players fight them near Orgrimmar zepp towers, after some trash you fight a brand new Grimtotem Savage Brutal Warrior Slayer - just a Warrior + adds fight

    6) Somebody we know - Magatha show up, along with some Grimtotem Shamans, and challange you, kill her, some fancy mechanics, much destruction during fight, one zepp tower is broken

    7) Meet the end boss - Garros challanges you, but on 90% he runs away, running onto the remaining zepp tower "because you arent worthy his time". Thrall shows up, boosts you with wind onto another zepp. Because no good endraid works without Gunship.

    8) Crush the zepp - Zeppelins crushed in Gallyvixes mansion, Gallywix sends guards to help Garrosh, and is a boss encounter now

    9) The intrigue continues - Garrosh runs back to Orgrimmar, you chase him on ground mounts, but meanwhile Twilight Hammer, reformed and serving Cthun is revealed to colaborate with Garrosh. You fight them while trying to catch up with Garrosh

    10) "Final boss" - You meet Garrosh at Ring of Valor, where he reminds Thrall their duel did not finish. While they duel, Garrosh is losing, and tries to call help. None other than Gorgonna shows up, enslaved by Garrosh and twisted by Old Gods powers, now a horrible monstrosity. Fight her, or she will join Garrosh and kill Thrall.

CUTSCENE - Thrall defeats Garrosh. He submits, but Thrall sees the taint of the Old Gods twisting him is not his decision - Twilight's Hammer twisted him through agents working within Orgrimmar. Thrall attempts to purify Garrosh, but during this his powers manifest, turning him into an abomination of Twilight energies.

    11) Boss fight, at last! - You fight Garrosh while Trhall is trying to purify him. The more time the fight takes, the harder it becomes. However, it is not really excruciating, as for an endboss fight. Garrosh falls and...

In normal - his body cannot take the purifycation and explodes. While you loot him you hear "evil laughter of Old Gods", so you know this raid is just a small part of a bigger plot.

In HC - Thrall manages to purify Garrosh, but he does not have much time. Only minutes are remaining until his body can't take this anymore. Thrall serves players some loot (well, you defeated a boss encounter). Then Varian and Jaina catch up. Varian tries to decapitate Garrosh, but Thrall stops him, explaining the full situation. Then, evil powers of Old Gods manifest. Avatar of N'Zoth himself shows up and begins to destroy Orgrimmar, along with his minions. Players have limited time (until Garrosh dies) to ride through orgrimmar along with Thrall, Garrosh, Jaina and Varian, defeat Old Gods forces, and face Avatar himself.

    12) Last fight (HC only) - toether with Garrosh, Thrall, Varian and Jaina you face the evil monster responsible for all this - or rather his avatar. The fight is excruciating, has several phases, and requires you to be helped by all of your "friends". During the fight, Varian saves Thrall in the most heroic way it's possible from certain death, sacrificing his own life and starting last phase. You defeat Avatar, and Garrosh thanks Jaina for something that happened, dunno what, Jaina cries, Thrall kneels and murmurs some things at Varians body, Garrosh officially dismisses himself from being the Warchief, Garrosh explodes. Thrall appoints Varok Saurfang as the leader of the Horde, and we live happily ever after, with some brand new HC gear.
LOL no just no. Why would we sacrafice one of our leaders just so that a demented horde leader can go on xD
Nobody likes variyan sure, but garrosh has pissed off EVERYONE in the game. Kill the fool.

    I foresee the following:

The raid begins with the following options:
Option A) Fly into Orgrimmar from the sky, utilizing zepplins for an air attack.
Option B) Fighting through the back entrance of Orgrimmar from Azshara for a ground assault.

[Whichever option you choose, you get certain heroes to help along the way. An example would be if you chose Option B (utilizing ground forces to siege the city), you would have Saurfang and Varian charging in with their respective armies. If you chose Option A, you would have Vol'jin and Jaina shooting arrows/spells while you attack from the air.]

Bosses would depend on which area you chose. Anyways, after the first two options, you are given free choice on where to attack in the city: Valley of Wisdom, Valley of Spirits, or the Drag. You can complete any of these areas in any order, garnering the aid of heroes along the way as well as cameos. The players must make choices quickly, as the longer it takes to defeat a certain area, the more reinforcements are sent to the other parts of Orgrimmar to fortify what is left.

Once all three areas are cleared of enemies and a strong position is taken surrounding the Valley of Honor, the players set their sights on Garrosh's fortress, Grommash Hold. Outside Grommash Hold, however, is a massive amount of Warlocks summoning a Pit Lord, one supposedly stronger than Mannoroth, to destroy the players and their allies. This shows Garrosh's allegiance with the Burning Legion and the Pit Lords, for starters as a lead into the next expansion. Moving on, after this new Pit Lord is destroyed players siege Grommash Hold's defenses in a vehicular battle where x amount of players are in siege tanks, blowing away at the hold's defenses while y amount of players are on the ground defending the siege tanks from death. Once the hold's defenses are adequately damaged, players storm the hold, fight the remainder of Garrosh's defense, then fight Garrosh himself. Garrosh's encounter will: show the corruption he has gathered from the Sha of War; show the newborn hatred in Jaina Proudmoore; show Vol'jin gaining his vengeance, and; show Varian's honor in battle, finally fighting alongside the Horde against a true common enemy. Overall, the Garrosh encounter will be him retaliating against attacks, wounding critical heroes to the storyline, brandishing his true intentions of war within the Horde, and pursuing vengeance and hatred to all who oppose him.

Bosses would include, but not limited to:

    1) Option A: Fire! Fight in the Skies!
-Zepplin battle defending against the Kor'kron Airguard
-Flight Master battle, where players wrangle the flight master's wyverns to use against him/her

    1) Option B: Siege of the Valley of Strength
-Warlord Cromush and Warlord Zaela of the Dragonmaw Clan as a dual boss encounter
-A master hunter within the ranks of Garrosh's Kor'kron Guard, utilizing various pets to pester the players

    2) Option A: Wisdom of the Horde
-A Kor'kron General, holding Tauren prisoners who give buffs if freed (but there is a timer on all prisoners, so freeing prisoners is not maximum priority but it's up there)
-The leader of the Tauren in the Valley of Wisdom who has been corrupted as well by the Sha of War, where the players goal is to weaken him to the point of purification by other Tauren Shaman / Tauren Paladin who have been freed and/or have been fighting alongside you

    2) Option B: Down into the Depths of the Drag!
-A gauntlet event of fighting mini-bosses within each of the buildings in the Drag, working your way down towards the entrance to the Ragefire Chasm. Buildings are collapsing and the ground is quaking more and more as you near the lower part of the Drag.
-Neeru Fireblade, who is getting the last of the materials ready for the Pit Lord encounter later on in the raid. The players objectives are to kill Neeru so he cannot partake in the ritual, but he manages to give the materials to a lesser warlock before dying himself.

    2) Option C: One With the Spirits!
-Gallywix is showcasing his Goblins' newest invention: the Shredd-O-Matic 4000, loaded with various things that can go BOOM and sawblades to fend off those pesky weapons. Halfway through the fight, Gallywix will set the Shredd-O-Matic 4000 to autopilot mode, while Gallywix himself will harass players with his Rogue-like abilities. He then becomes the boss for the rest of the encounter once the Shredd-O-Matic 4000 is dead.
-Revantusk General. A Troll general from the Revantusk village who had been similarly afflicted with the Sha of War's influence must be persuaded to once again join the cause against Garrosh alongside Vol'jin and the rest of the heroes.

    3) The Battle is on! For Honor!
-Pit Lord. Summoned finally by the warlocks after obtaining Neeru Fireblade's materials, he is the epitome of destruction and chaos. He tells the players throughout the fight of how Garrosh was utilizing the power of the Burning Legion to bolster his personal guard to make the Orcish Horde strong enough to become the supreme world power.
-Siege of Grommash Hold. A fight utilizing siege tanks and players outside of them to bring down the fortifications of Grommash Hold to get to Garrosh.
-Garrosh's Advisors. A fight similar to the Illidari Council, Garrosh's Advisors are a for

    4) Taking Back the Mantle
-Garrosh. The players do not initiate the fight - instead, heroes such as Jaina, Thrall, Saurfang, Varian, et cetera... come in to weaken Garrosh. Instead they get battered back and wounded. Players must focus on slowly weakening Garrosh while keeping the heroes alive due to bleeds. Certain heroes are destined to die, others are not. Before the death of Vol'jin, he fires an arrow that hits Garrosh in the shoulder, crippling his attack swings over time. Before the death of Jaina Proudmoore, she casts a spell to burn off some of Garrosh's armour, allowing him to be hurt even further. The fight progresses into a more and more intense battle to the death until a valiant sacrifice by Lor'themar Theron prevents the raid from being wiped. He screams that it will be his duty to destroy aspects of the Horde that he saw within Kael'thas' army of Blood Elves. The strike that should've killed the raid was one that took a massive toll on Grommash Hold's inner structure - the walls begin to collapse, and Garrosh is seen fleeing to recover. Players must mount up and follow after Garrosh, who is riding a trusted Horde Scorpion, to the Ring of Valour, where Garrosh makes his final stand. Behind Garrosh is seen Magatha Grimtotem, giving Garrosh poison so he can rid himself of these "pesky worms". Players must fight Garrosh and Magatha at the same time, not having the aid of any NPC heroes. Garrosh will not die until Magatha dies, wherein he yells (at her death), "I shall give my life for my Horde! COME MY BROTHERS, FIGHT ALONGSIDE ME ONE LAST TIME!" From the stands of the Arena massive waves of Kor'kron Elites pour onto the arena floor. Varian, Thrall, and Saurfang catch up to the arena to help clear away the waves, getting a buff from each leader. Garrosh decides to continue his fight against Thrall, Varian, and Saurfang in the process of all of this, switching his focus from one target to another. As the final wave is cleared, Garrosh poisons Thrall and manages to bring him to near-death. Varian and Saurfang become even more enraged at Garrosh's treachery and begin the final phase of the fight, where both of them tank Garrosh for his last bit of percent. The fight ends with a simultaneous killing of Garrosh by both Varian and Saurfang, where Varian catches Garrosh off guard and stabs him through the chest, and Saurfang decapitates him.

Thus ends the Siege of Orgrimmar raid, and sets up the expansion with the onslaught of the Burning Legion.
Too many classes, too little time. Completionist yet lazy.

Probably some sha, something mechanical, maybe Saurfang...

That being said I'd like to see the Sha of Regret, basically a shadowy big version of Cairne.

It strikes me as doubtful that Gallywix would be a mini boss. The Horde losing two racial leaders in one fight seems overkill, especially since they've lost already lost Cairne and Sylvy is being set up for a major fall herself.

    3. Magatha Grimtotem in the Valley of Wisdom. Your raid assists Baine, Gamon and an army of tauren in driving off Magatha's elementals, leading up to a confrontation with the treacherous shaman herself. Garroshes own refusal to help her arguably cost her Thunderbluff. I don't see her helping.
Overall....we can't really say. Its unlikely any other Horde leaders will defend him and he has few friends outside so the main obvious set of mini bosses will be Orcs.

I like the idea of Saurfang fulfilling an oath and defending him as it brings a certain degree of poignancy. However, that too seems unlikely as Varok threatened to kill him. It seems more likely he....and Vol'jin....will help bring Garrosh down.

A lot also depends on the nature of the corruption.

Corruption by the Sha, the Old Gods, the Burning Legion or simply by the desire for and victory would each dictate a different set of end bosses.

Overall....the corruption of spirit brought about by his own desire for power, glory and complete and total victory over the Alliance would be, to me, the most desireable.

1st: Some Orc in charge of holding the gate maybe the head of Hellscream's Reach.
2nd: Gear check Gamon (i really think it would be funny to have him as a patchwerk type fight)
3rd: Some enslaved gronn or black dragon something along those lines
    4th: Powerful Orc Warlock
5th: a demon adviser be it a Dreadlord or Eredar
6th: Jaina ( fighting her to keep her from blowing up org and killing many innocents)
7th: Some event type fight like spine of deathwing
    8th: Garrosh

    Kaja.
And she will make you lose durability during the fight. A lot.

  16. #176
Probably already been said but Gallywix. I'd say its kinda obvious with his lack of presence and douchebaggery that far surpasses Garrosh.

I just don't understand why they're killing off Garrosh. Wait, yes I do. Cause they wrote the character absolutely terribly. He had so much potential but nooooo. All the "I WANT GARROSH GONE" and "THRALL WARCHIEF FOR LIFE" bitching got to Blizzard.

would be cool if when the patch is released both faction must fight until they reach a room with two entrances like this with Jaina the white helping allies and Suarfang the elder helping horde, then the players meet a demon/sha construct constructed for garrosh , and once they kill it the helper places one Half of A Gatekey into the door, then when the other faction clears the Gate guardian they place the other half, when the door is finally opened A global scream by Garrosh reverberates throughout the game map repeatedly for 2 min and then any heroes in the in stance are ported out ,after an hour the Door is Finally unsealed by the magics of the 2 keys and garrosh the crazed is available to be killed,on Normal and LFR he dies when he defeated but on HC mode he punches through the floor or something and drinks a vial of demon/sha blood and becomed Blood Garrosh (huge !!! with red eyes and mouth , daeling massive shadow cleaves and everything) then when this is defeated the helper for either faction seals the evil in him and tada a new artifact with massive power is formed.
    end

EDIT: ye after one week the door is auto matically opened if no1 on both factions has opend the door
Edit2 : just for convenience sake lets say thrall gave Jaina half of the key for the throne room / or suarfang and jaina say they cant unseal it by themselves of sumthing along that line

My take on a nice way for horde / allies to be forced to work together with the objective of killing garrosh 1st

As they talked about how Garrosh is doing something beneath/under Orgrimmar, it wouldn suprise me if the Raid will start in Orgrimmar and then go down into Ragefire Chasm and we will fight him there. They could change Ragefire's layout, make it bigger or even completly change it except for being underground. It wouldn't suprise me.

As for bosses, Gallywix and Magatha could be bosses that appear. Then we will probably get a few bosses that are just there, but have no or only little lore prior to the raid. And then Garrosh as a final boss, yeah.
