    Sound problems, help please.

Hi everyone, I reformatted my computer a couple days ago and I installed all the drivers etc etc, but after a while the sound got really wierd. The sound is very good but when I watch a movie or something I can't hear the dialogue. It's really low when they speak. but the background is just fine. Any help? thanks.

    Do you use stereo speakers/headphones?
If so, you may have set it to 5.1.

Alright I did that, seems to work, but just one problem. The sound is really low, the highest volume is like really low. What can I do?

try checking the "normalize volume" box in your media player. It will amplify the volume so that the highest peak reaches the headroom limit.

Any chance your speakers are plugged into the wrong sound output?

Hmm, I don't know really. I've been using that output for a very long time and it's been working great so far.

I'm using MPC but I'm gonna take a guess and say it's somewhere in your audio settings(it's in audio switcher settings in mpc)
