    [MoP] Symbiosis

    Mod edit: I took the liberty of editing the first post and turn it into an information post (Mihir)

    Symbiosis
    30 yd range. 6 sec cast.
    Creates a symbiotic link which grants the Druid one ability belonging to the target's class, varying by the Druid's specialization.
    In exchange, grants the target one Druid ability based on their class and combat role.
    Lasts 60 min and persists through death. Cannot be cast on other Druids. Effect cancelled if Druid and target become too far apart.

    Also according to http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/to...4?page=23#450: "Symbiosis cannot be cast in combat." So we're stuck with a certain symbiosis per fight, can't switch halfway.
    Update: After some testing, found it also can't be cast on a target that's in combat.

    All classes except druid will get the following spell in their spellbook (unknown at what level):
    Symbiosis
    When Symbiosis is cast on you by a Druid, this button will be replaced by the new ability you have temporarily learned.
    UPDATE: The generic Symbiosis spell doesn't appear in your spellbook; it's a placeholder ability on your actionbars if you had put a real symbiosis ability there and then lost the symbiosis.

    I really don't like this talent. Sounds too complicated. I think they should scrap it and come up with something better. Some of these abilities look cool to have like the cds, some are lame like lightning shield or consecration. I'm sure its the same for other classes, might get barkskin or natures grasp. Seems too random and I don't like the idea of unique class spells being shared between classes.

    Have to strongly disagree with you here. This adds SO MUCH dynamic to every type of druid that it makes it even more versatile (the halmark of the class), strategic, and in many ways something you WANT to bring with you into a raid or pvp team setting because of the utility. I don't see it getting any better then that.

    Does it make matters more complicated? Absolutely, if you want to min/max your DPS, you need to consider who you bring with you. If you need additional survivability, you need to ask yourself the same question. I see it as a good thing, really.

    For example (and without giving this much thought), an AoE heavy fight might require you give your sym to a DK. Or a fight where you are required to move from one place to another immediately, might require you use your warlock's portal. The possibilities are endless!

    Quite honest that you always will have something better to choose from, than the warlock currently offers.

    Priest seems like one of the best options really.
    a 2nd free tranq and dispersion for those OSHIT situations/blackhorn soaking mechanics.

    it kinda depents on witch druid role can access witch ability's but sofar it seems pretty awsome for tanking whit dispersion, buble or lightning shield for threat :P

    Here's where I'm at so far. Definitely far from complete, and there could be some errors. This was all taken from tooltips in the WoWDB and from the examples given via blueposts.

    Looking at Symbiosis tooltip wording: As druids, depending upon our spec, we gain one appropriate spell from the given class. The given class gains one druid spell which is appropriate for their class and role. As such:

    1) Druids can obtain 4 spells from each class - one for each talent specialization (Balance, Feral, Guardian, Resto).
    2) The recipients of Symbiosis can receive 3 spells from druids - one for each talent specialization (since every other class only has 3 specializations).

    Druids gain:
    DK:
    Balance - Chains of Ice
    Feral - Unholy Frenzy
    Guardian - Icebound Fortitude
    Resto - Anti-Magic Shell?

    Hunter:
    Balance - Misdirection?
    Feral - Play Dead
    Guardian - Ice Trap
    Resto - Deterrence?

    Mage:
    Balance - Mirror Image
    Feral - Frost Nova
    Guardian - Mage Ward
    Resto - Ice Block

    Monk:

    Frenzy Regen will probely goto warriors are it still requires "rage" so it probely goes to a prot warrior

    Also i hope AMS will be the thing guardian druid gets,
    instead on Ice Bound Fortitude, besides a druid freezing his blood oO that doesnt sound verry healty

    there so many awsome tanking stuff amoog them while many of them will probely not goto guardian druids, like dispersion
