What would make you return to WoW?

I hear a lot of grumbling about the new expansion, and how resources could have been spent on other features. So what would you do if you had the ear of the developers in WoW? What would you make the main focus?

Remember you can only choose one so Blizz can put all development time towards it for it to be completed as soon as possible.

I'd make an attument type of epic chain a la MH and BT. I'd also make it the same system as it was with having to kill Vashj / Kael'thas. I also wouldn't nerve those encounters, nor remove the attunement at any time.

It's probably a good thing I don't work for Blizzard, pretty sure not many people would like me (just the people > casual playstyle would).

    Place: K'aresh
"K'aresh was an arid planet, home to a thriving ecosystem and several sentient species before the arrival of Dimensius the All-Devouring."

New Race: Ethereals ( they are awesome)

Fight against the army of void, and whoever else Dimensius left, since he is probably not actually dead, probably fight him too.

New Minigame: A card game based on tarot cards(Think FF8 card game but not that terrible), that gave you rewards of a unique currency you could use to buy more cards, pets, other vanity prizes.

Something different that isn't the same thing we already have. Something fun and not a competition. Something enjoyable to do in the downtime that I actually want to play.

If they completely separated PvP and PvE from each other, and removed PvP gear, then I would come back. As it is, the PvP system is so broken, I just can't imagine playing anymore. :c

I'm still playing, but I voted Dance Studio for funsies.

For me to play again, they would have to implement the rating requirement on gear, the same as it was during Wrathful season, that was perfect. They would also have to focus on PvP as much as they do PvE and balance the game, instead of allowing stupid comps to function. Thirdly, they would have to FOCUS on PvP instead of giving it the minimum amount of attention and ruining PvP in general. They would also need to remove flying mounts and reduce the amount of guards that spawn in cities. They would also need to remove transmog and all the new stupid features such as LFR, LFD, Guild Percs/abilities and implement Skirmish Arena. All in all, everything i've said would never happen, so there is a 100% chance that i will not play again.

Kinda funny, I got an email today from Blizzard telling me I should return to WoW with the 7 day trial, I replied back saying not until they start 3 month patches and until then to gtfo. I know they never read replies to those emails but it did actually feel good to reply like that.

That is the only way I would ever consider playing WoW seriously again, patch every 3 months, no ands, if's or buts about it.

It had to be a complete overhaul. And I don't mean increased texture size and some shiny lighting effects, I'm talking about a whole new engine. The game simply feels outdated, and (apparently) no matter how hard they try, Blizz's efforts in creating "epic experiences" simply fails due to this. It will probably take Titan to get me hooked on a Blizz MMO again. But if I was them I'd milk the cash cow for as long as it's profitable, so we probably won't see Titan's release within the next 3 years.

A whole new game engine. Blizz have squeezed all they can out of the current one - MoP will be more of the same disguised in Asian art.

What do you mean? Clothing Physics? Realtime Lighting?

Make WoW like in Vanilla or TBC, nothing else will work for me.

MoP release date, and I'll probably resub 2-4 weaks before it comes out.

    official BC servers.

if the guys that run private servers can do it and be overloaded with players 24/7, then blizzard is really missing out on some potential big money.

Yep, that brought me back after 6 months of quitting. How long I'll stay I don't now, but hey! Free 80! Also, I'll probably stick around until the end of Cataclysm, GM of my guild was so happy to see me he decked me out in all kinds of guild bank gear, gotta stick around a while or I'll feel really guilty.

I'm more of a casual player now. With LFR and the new heroics you can get your Valor points maxed out for the week in about 4 hours... maybe 6 if you're unlucky...

Housing is something I've really longed for in WoW. And I think (to me) it represents something Blizzard keeps moving in the direction AWAY from - sandboxing. I want something that makes me an individual at least on some very small aspect. I could easily see new items being added to every profession (and 2ndary professions) that would benefit housing.

I know they can't just throw houses down in the middle of Stormwind so they'd have to make it instanced. I just think this is something that would make me want to come back and invest time in creating my little personal home.

I see this as a huge possibility for casuals and hardcores alike.

What would get me to return? Hmmm...

How about playable Pandaren race, a new class that brings some new and interesting play styles, fantasy themed content that is not more castles and knights, pet battles and other fun distractions to play with when you just don't feel like raiding or farming, a shift in the plot that is not about another super being trying to destroy the world, but brings it back to what made the original wow so good as in a focus on exploration and adventure and the Horde vs. Alliance war, instance challenge that are actually difficult so the power games will have real goal in site to work towards that will not be cleared 2 weeks after launch, and finally making the 3 raid difficulty levels more balanced i.e. LFR to be easy, but not too easy so people who might have never raided will still get a change to experience it for themselves, Normal mode be closer to the difficulty of Vanilla and TBC raids so the more casual but still serious raid guild can have a rewarding experience and feel like they did accomplished something when they down bosses, and finally Hard/Heroic mode be truly the most challenging content in the game. The kind of encounters that if you do not bring your A game and have your whole raid battling at their peak, you will get slaughtered, but will give the really serious guild a real challenge to see who is the best and not just got got there first.

    How is that?

I would come back if my friends did. That's all that matters to me.
