[MoP] state of druids in MoP

as I don't have a druid i am really curious about their new talents and abilities. Are they fun and good? PvP wise

PS: no i'm not a FOTM reroller. I am making a pick of either feral or rogue

Feral is a tough call right now, separating bear and losing certain things will make it tough to judge for awhile IMO.

All I know is I am very excited for resto PVP, and it's been a looooong time.

I am going to assume this is PvP related. In that case I would pick a rogue if you will be focusing on that. Feral will be butchered against any team with a monk due to 8 second dispel on bleeds. This will also be 99% of matches because everyone knows monks will be OP for the first expansion at least. While rogues will still be hurting from the dispel rogues also just have a bigger bag of tricks are a stronger class than ferals. However, if you're planning on doing other stuff then I'd go with druid. You can be a tank, melee, range or healer in PvE and boomkin/resto may be decent in PvP come MoP.

If he's going Rogue, the Monk will butcher him as well.

I recommend going Druid. You have far more options and playstyles available to you.

Or maybe wait deeper then two weeks into a beta before making such a decision, because things will obviously change between now and go live day.

feral pvp will be dead in MoP becase we loose the little surviabiltiy cooldowns that we inherted from tanks, so cat will go splat.

Yeah but you can pick up Renewal and Disentanglement, that's a lot of potential self healing to increase your survivability in pvp, no?

Tough call. What most of us will be missing is the fact that we wont be able to just go bear, pop a few CDs, and take almost no damage anymore. I'll admit, it's OP as hell, but it's gonna suck to lose it all-together. We'll still have self heals and barkskin though, so I'm just waiting to see what makes it to live. Root breaks are an amazing upgrade though, heal or not.

Remember you lose a lot of self healing as well, as non resto druids only have rejuv and healing touch.

On the other hand, every druid now gets the instant heal on Rejuv and HT was quite significantly buffed compared to live, so it's not all bad.

We also still get Tranq, though the usefullness of that for the purpose of self healing is... debatable.

Barkskin is only for guardian (tank spec)

Feral maybe hurt by monks bleed dispel, however I really don't see it making it live. Bleeds we're never meant to be easily dispellable and it introduces a whole new aspect to the game, and not to mention for a long time now bleeds have been used in pve to force tank swaps, if monks can dispel them then it just adds the the programming they have to do for pve encounters.

I also feel that rogues are going to have some issues in pvp due to the removal of shs and prep, you will only be able to take one of them, this means that a rogues ability to reset is just gone, which being a CD dependent class really hurts. And shadow step also hurts due to the fact that rogue mobility is extremely important.

I think you'd be better off with the druid, having 4 specs to pick from one of them has to be viable.

It's not OP, and you only take 18% less damage against casters while losing offensive capabilities. It's overpowered in 1v1 vs DK and Warrior, but that's pretty much it.

No it's not? Everybody except Resto gets it. Resto gets Ironbark instead.

Perhaps you should look at Resto 44, Balance 44 and guardian 44.

all specs but resto get barkskin as a spec skill, except resto, who gets ironbark (same thing except you can put it on anyone, 2 min CD)
Till water is gone, Till shade is gone. Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath. To spit in Sightblinders eye on the last day.

he said only guardian will have barkskin so my point of quote was that he is wrong cause all the speccs of the druid will exept resto wich he will have an improved version
can you explain me now your point ?

Every spec gets Barkskin. Confirmed in beta - you get it even without a spec.

EDIT: Apparently Barkskin disappears from the spellbook if you choose Restoration
