Need help building a gaming desktop for GW2! Any advice could be appreciated.

I am looking for help on building a computer that can run guild wars 2 at max specs. My budget is between 800 - 1000 dollars, but if dire enough my budget might be able to increase to 1200$.

Nobody knows what GW2 runs like at max settings...especially when heaps of people are present in the same zone. One can only speculate, and so far the word's been going around that a decent mid-range build should be able to take care of max settings.
So either one of these *should* do the job - but again, we can only speculate.

Taken from Marest's Sample Builds sticky:

    Gaming 800
    MoBo: ASRock P67 PRO3 (B3) – $99.99

    Gaming 900
    MoBo: Gigabyte GA-P67X-UD3 (B3) – $114.99
    CPU: Intel i5 2500k – $219.99
