hagara 10 heroic - FROST PHASE

Is there a good way, seems like there is 3 viable. Anyone discover a real good start to do this ...3 melee and 3 healing is our group dynamics

    Something consistent ...best practice?

I prefer to have everyone stay outside the ring, people dart into the middle to be dispelled, and people dart into the middle to skirt behind the ice waves and continue killing any crystals that are low, instead of moving on in front of the waves constantly.

It felt by far the least painful.

We stack everyone but the melee in the middle directly on the boss. Range just have to rotate and kill the crystals, melee run around and do what they can running to the bubble and calling for dispells then back out to the middle of the lane to keep running.

We have 3 healers as well and indeed do the "if you have frostflake run into the middle to be dispelled" strategy. Then of course ducking behind the ice waves if theyre really low or they are the last one left, just to shorten the phase.

We have everyone except our spriest and priest healer on the outside. Run in for dispels, kill crystals.

We do exactly this, healers and range stack in the middle and focus down one crystal after another, melee either runs around in a circle or like me, i just run into the bubble and charge/leap to crystal again, only moving if i need to get dispelled (so it dont come right under a crystal)

We Zerg the first crystal and then move to the next as a group, anyone with the debuff is to run in for dispels. On the 2nd,3rd,4th Crystals we ALWAYS duck in as a group 1 time to give us a head start on moving to the next crystal regardless of the previous crystals health. We complete the frost phase in one rotation.

This is what we do. 2 R Shams, a Holy Pally, a Mage and a Lock stay in the middle. One of the Shaman is on dispel duty for the melee and we only dispel the range DPS if they need to move to reach crystals (it happens. :P). Melee run in circles and pop in for dispels or to dodge the ice wall. If you have 3 heals and they can't keep everyone up they need to get better. Melee should only need the occasional heal.

Done it with 2 groups, be next to first crystal when phase starts, zerg it, move to next one. Every ice wave, everybody needs to go inside the bubble and let is pass and get back in (obviously do a "U" to go behind the ice wave to get out of bubble asap). In our case, our holy paladin is dispelling, everybody calls for a dispell when they are inside the bubble and ready for it.

Takes a few attempts to make it work, but then it's trivial. Quite honestly, beside the "get in the bubble" time, nobody should be taking damage, so you don't 3 heal that phase.. paladin is dispelling, resto druid is using aoe heals and as a disc priest I try to bubble everybody going inside the bubble and use prayer of healing when I am far away enough from an ice wave.

As melee in my other group I just zerg ice crystals, get inside the bubble to let ice wave go, and call when I need to be dispelled.. might have to use hand of freedom if somebody screws up, but otherwise it's just fine.

Honestly, if you have three healers, you should just stack the range in the center. It was fine before, and it's even easier with the 15% nerf. The phase goes by really quick and there is really little room for mistakes.

    1. get at least 3 ranged that will be watching the exact amount of stack and that will take the 4 lasts. (this will prevent anyone from dieing to the second shatter)
    2. TOTEMS ! use grounding totems ! they will redirect 1 shatter (only affects 1 group tho) 2 chamans = pure win
    3. LUCK. You will need some for hagara.

With 3 healers, i'd probably have healers + ranged camp up in middle, and leave melee to run around like bitches.

We personally use 2 healers, so we all run round, then run into the middle to drop frost debuff, then back into the lanes to ice dem frosts.

We do it like you'd do it on normal, only you run along the inside (not in the bubble, just the inside of the ring...think racing) and move to the outside when you have the debuff that way the ice patches aren't as in the way.

We also split our groups up and burn down 2 crystals right away, that way there's always one group to pick up the slack of the first while moving around the rotation.

We have everyone collapse on a marker where one of the conduits spawns and run while moving into the bubble and being vocal for dispels. No dispels go out unless called out on mumble. Saves healer mana and we still don't get any on the outside.

We've done it two different ways that seemed pretty easy.

The first was to have everyone in one group and just follow the ice wave closely and dip into the middle to get dispelled. Your ranged dps will probably be able to kill or almost kill the crystals without needing the melee to be on them a lot.

The other way we've done, which is probably easier is to have all the dps + 1 healer start at one crystal, then have one healer 1 crystal back and one healer 2 crystals back. When you get the debuff, you run into the middle, get dispelled, and just pop back out behind the ice wave.

Ranged and healers stacking in the middle works for us.

  17. #17
We just run in a circle and kill the crystals. Hope this helped.

My paladin's group first kill 4 healed it with the stack in center strat. We 3 heal it now. DPS shouldn't be an issue with 15% (neither should healing, technically) but I think you can get away with 4 healing while you're progressing if thats an option.

ex's way is pretty good have everyone but the healers run on the outside and run for dispells or when a wall is there , not moving on till that crsytal is dead.

We have the whole raid converge on a designated crystal to start, then nuke the hell out of it. It normally dies before the first ice wave swings in.

We then run to the second one (with hunter Pack on) and clump near it, then duck inside the bubble to let the ice wave pass us. As soon as it's passed, we're all gathered at the crystal so we have time to nuke it without moving, which gets it dead before the next ice wave comes. We then run ahead of that wave with Pack, duck inside at the third crystal, and repeat this pattern.

Anyone who gets Frostflake just takes a step into the bubble, gets dispelled then comes back out to continue firing.

All crystals get smashed in one trip around, without the hassle of constantly trying to DPS on the move.
