Sanity Lead Astray (A) 10 man 5/8H LF DPS for DS and MOP

Sanity Lead Astray (http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/...ty+lead+Astray) is looking for a few to fill core spots in its Raid Team 2. We are currently 5/8H, and plan to kill it all. We are semi-hardcore, i.e. we like to have fun while killing difficult bosses. If you are looking to be 8/8 in a week, that's not us unfortunately. If, however, you are looking to get into an up-and-coming raid team with excellent leadership, a fun, relaxed atmosphere, and a steady stream of progression kills, this might be the guild for you.

    High priority for:
    - Boomkin
    - Holy/Ret Paladin
    - Arcane Mage
    - ANY exceptional DPS or healer

We will help you gear if you are undergeared, but you should show knowledge of your class, experience and determination regardless.

    1) About the Server:

Uldaman is a medium-population, middle of the pack server. As such, it is generally hard to attract skilled enough heroic-bound players from the server itself that are not already in a heroic guild. The Horde Alliance ratio is 1:0.88 currently, with Tol Barad split pretty evenly depending on which faction is more bored of it that day. Some sample prices: Queen's Garnet (4k), Inferno Ruby (155-225), Azshara's Veil (141/stack), Highland Guppy (274/stack). I won't lie and say you're coming to a top-end server with top-end raiders, but there is nothing wrong with the economy and players that we have, it's worked for us for years.

    2) About the Guild:

SLA is a raiding guild that has been among the forefront of Uldaman’s alliance guilds for years. It is a fun and friendly atmosphere in guild chat and ventrilo, and you can usually find someone online at all times of the day or night. You’ll meet a wide array of people (mostly adults) here that you can relate to and enjoy playing the game with both in and outside of raids. We have two main raid teams (both 3/8H), so it's nice to have friendly competition between the groups. We have many casual players that are along for the ride, and there is a pretty vast network of friendships throughout the guild. We do two 8/8N alt run clears on Friday/Saturday, and these are generally for people who have no lives to just chill and chat while raiding.

Guild repairs, food, and flasks are provided.

    3) About the Raid Team

“Group 2” in its current state has been a relatively new installment to the guild (created during late firelands), and as such, has seen quite a few faces come and go. We currently have a roster of 10 people on any given night, so people occasionally sit for bosses, but we don't recruit for the "bench," so to speak; if the fit feels right, you will be in on the majority of the kills. The atmosphere during raid is laid back, especially when clearing farm content, but the pace remains fast, and mistakes are still frowned upon. When clearing a progression boss, things are taken much more seriously. You will be expected to research fights before coming in to raid. You’ll find that all our raiders are very good friends with each other and I believe it is that which makes a raid team strong. Raiders are encouraged to talk and voice important information, strategies, ideas. The raid team is just that, a team, and although there is a leader at the helm, raiding in itself is and always will be a group effort.

Our goal is to kill new bosses and challenge ourselves while having fun at the same time and maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. Therefore, as a 10-man team that raids less than 8 hours per week, we need new raiders that are dedicated, inspired to succeed, and prepared to play their class to the best of their ability every night, for the sole reason that we simply don’t have enough time to raid on a hardcore schedule. We need someone who is willing to research their class and/or fights beforehand and always be looking for ways to improve.

Loot is managed by /roll and loot council. Gear is generally given to lesser-geared players unless someone performs very well and clearly deserves the upgrade. Everyone in the raid accepts and embraces this gear system, and acknowledges that underperforming might result in no loot. If this is an issue for you, you may not want to apply. If loot in general is an issue for you, we don't really want you. As a recruit, you have a 2 week trial period (or less, depending on how quickly you acclimate)

    3) Raid Times:

    Tuesday – 8:30-11:30
    Thursday – 8:30-11:30
    Sunday - 8:30 - 11:30
    Monday (optional) -8:30-11:00

    4) Questions that you might be asked if you were to apply:

    - Why do you want to join?
    - Why are you leaving your current guild?
    - Would you be willing to wipe for an entire night, an entire week even, on a boss just to get a progression kill?
    - Would you be willing to sit out on certain nights so that a successful raid comp can be made?
    - What is your favorite color?
    - How do you handle criticism?
    - How do you prepare for raids?
    - Do you use worldoflogs? Would you have logs to show us?
    - What kind of addons do you use?

If you feel you are up to par or even exceed our standards, post below with your interest and we can set up an interview on ventrilo with further questions.

    Thank you.
