Our first heroic Alysrazor kill, our raid wiped at 27% - and I soloed her down by staying well above the rings where the ground mobs couldn't target me - swooping down just to keep Alsyra's Razor (ring buff) up. Was very epic, but it never occurred to me to try to do the whole fight like that!

thanks for the nice words, i actually came up with the idea 2 days ago when i couldn't sleep, but since i was saved i had to wait till wednesday, i hope this will help people farm the mount, i'll farm it every week now for sure!

Our first heroic kill was like that too lol, was going to shit at about 40% so we just sent as many people up as possible and killed it ><

I guess there's no real reason why this wouldn't work on heroic, I don't think the debuff for being outside does any more damage on heroic, certainly worth trying!

The trash relevant to this boss yes, how bout the trash in the rest of the instance? Not tried Firelands trash soloing before so would like to avoid repair bills if possible :P

You can skip all trash packs with careful movements (the 1st patrol - you need to go to the cliff on the right and wait till it passes by towards the entrance of instance, then you just go by the road and dodge stuff accordingly (dogs, mainly, can fuck you over if u are unlucky with timing). You can use potion of invisibility aswell to skip this cluster of trash (2x scorp packs + patrol) if you didn't understand how I skip the patrol

Don't think it's possible on heroic since you have to hide behind a meteor once in a while or you end up dead.

Depends how far into the air the meteor actually LoS'es the Firestorm. I'm pretty sure theres at least a little bit of invisible wall above the meteor, because I keep flying into it, so maybe its possible to outrange at least the melee hits from the Hatchlings while hiding. Not sure about the Fieroblast adds, though.

Yeh, you can easily outheal the damage as a shadow priest, the buff you get means you can easily put out like 60k+ hps on yourself

I used to not land during heroic alysrazor just to get that little bit of extra dps up (competing with fire mage at the time) - you can definitely bomb heals into yourself to out-heal the damage - renew ticks absurdly fast and gheals are below the GCD.

Wow that was pretty crazy / impressive. I still suck at just normal flying (rings are really hard to see on the lowest settings! )

If this is your kill, how many attempts did it take / how much time did it take to finally down it? I don't think I have the patience to even try until next expansion.

All in all i think it took me 25 tries, with a lot of bugs resting the boss or doing retarded mistakes, when i figured out how to deal with harsh winds properly and how to kite the boss so he doesn't bug out without getting killed i killed it within 2 or 3 tries.
