D3 for PS3?

Hey, I'm from sweden and one of the leading sellers here has D3 up for a PS3 release 2013,

Any thoughts on this or am I just really slow that just heard it was going for a console release as well?

I'll try to find the original post about it, but it's from a whileee back (before blizzcon 2011). Essentially they were testing out D3 on different consoles and loved how it played, so yes they are going to be putting it out on consoles at some point. It will most definetly be a long time after the actual pc release though, since they have their hands full right now with 2 expansions and a game coming out this year. 2013 does seem about right for a console release for D3 though

no it wasn't an april fools joke, back in february/march the lead designer posts a blog/blue post saying that it wasn't planned but they're thinking about it for the future.

That in particular was an april fool's joke. D3 coming to consoles is not, as I stated in my post they discussed how much they loved the feel on the consoles pre blizzcon 2011

You sure it was feb/march? I remember it being a while ago that they said that. Maybe it's just my memory going

They have confirmed that it is coming to console on twitter in January, with this tweet



But we never had a press release or a confirmation of the system(s) or any indication of date, so I think that this shop is just making it up a bit - there is no way blizzard would just tell one Swedish store, it will be BIG news when we know what and when and can start to genuinely pre-order for consoles. Most people believe it will definitely be PS3 though, last June they opened up a job position specifically for a "Playstation 3 Specialist" and then just last Dec they recruited for a "console senior network engineer."

The wii one was an April's fools joke though.

To be honest i hope it doesn't, or at least they will seperate the console players from the pc players, in my experience i find the console community to be the armpit ( trying to refrain using other more nasty things ) of online gaming.
