    I see that you are after 3d modeling and video editing. So I agree that a 3930k is the way to go. The boost from the 3 megs of cache is eh...
    Put the $450 in the bank and grab another SSD for when your primary gets full. I would also consider getting a sabertoothX79 mobo. There isn't much between the two and the sab. is $140-200AUD cheaper off memory

    EDIT: I just realised you are planning on a 1TB seagate.

    IF you are gonna do alot of frapsing I might suggest a 2TB or 3TB version.
    Or alternitvly several drives in RAID if you know how to set that up

    im better of with asus rampage iv, and im considering a larger hdd and ssd

    Multiple 7200RPM HDDs in RAID 0+1 would be the most optimal, fastest, and safest combination, for you, if you want to do your work quickly and lower the chances of your work being lost, due to possible HDD failure.
