    Motherboard help

Have been slowly ordering parts for a bargain-ish gaming desktop. Here is what has been currently ordered:

    CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
    Memory: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Case: Fractal Design Arc Midi Tower ATX Mid Tower Case
    Power Supply: Rosewill 630W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit)

The initial motherboard recommended for me was the ASRock Z77 Pro3 ATX LGA1155 which runs about $110. I am a total motherboard noob - what are the advantages to getting a cheaper or more expensive mobo? If I am not planning on overclocking or upgrading the CPU anytime soon should I go with a cheaper and older mobo?

Again, thanks in advance for any feedback.

More expensive and reliable components is the answer in a nutshell. You get what you pay for and that motherboard is a price/performance hero.

That's the board I would use you could go for a H77 since your not overclocking but I don't see many cheaper then that one. Your build seems ok except your power supply Rosewill makes good cases but not PSU's.

    Mojo,

Just so you are aware, the 2500 does not allow overclocking.

Even if you don't plan on doing serious overclocking, the 2500k is literally a push of a button. If you can I would recommend getting the i5-2500k
