Wasn't there some billionaire somewhere who owns a substantial amount of the world's cacao supply? I vaguely recall reading that and how it would influence the price of chocolate and other cacao based goods.

Meh, if there ever is a lack of chocolate it will lead to an increase in price which will lead to more growers and more research into better farming techniques, which will solve the lack of chocolate problem. Running out of renewable resources is nearly impossible.

While I like chocolate, nothing beats salty licorice (salmiak) in my opinion. But anyone not from a nordic country seem to despise that ^_^

And I doubt we should have to worry about chocolate going away or becoming very scarce. People will just figure out a way to cultivate the plant somewhere else or whatever.
Like hell we will just let it go extinct, think of all the people that would murder each other because they don't get their damn chocolate!
