9/10 of the political races in america last time..

were won by the canidate that spent the most money.

I wonder if that will hold true in 2012?

    http://elections.nytimes.com/2012/campaign-finance

Shows Obama is crushing everyone on spending so far, though that will shrink a bit after the R's choose a canidate.

    Obama spent so far-$156,713,377
    Romney spent so far-$68,348,699

    Mod Warning:

I'm throwing in a warning now, as this could be an interesting fiscal/economic discussion, please, do not start to bring bashing the U.S. as a country, generally, into this thread. It will be classed as nation-bashing and infractions will have to be given.

It is easy to have a political/economic discussion without bringing in bashing entire countries and cultures, so, please, keep nationality out of this.

That isn't money spent. That is campaign donations raised.

Generally speaking corporations donate 50/50 or 60/40 towards a specific party whose interest matches there's in order to protect themselves.

Corporations don't have a crystal ball more than anyone else. You think Lockheed Martin, the world's largest defense contractor, want's to be on the wrong side of a presidential election with a candidate who owes them nothing? That's why in 2008 Lockheed Marin gave about 60% to Democrats and 40% to Republicans, a complete mirror image of 2006

    Corporations are people, my friend...
It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere.
