A million thanks to Aryiana for the awesome sigs!!!
My druid is my mount collector and I find I use more of my flying mounts over my flight form. I pop into flight form if I need a quick escape/falling to my doom. I also love the look of a lot of mounts, so I prefer to run around on them in cities or while traveling. Why not use them if I have them on that character? If I didn't collect on my druid, I probably wouldn't feel the same.
Rusted proto for flying Anzu for ground ( even though everyone and their dog has Anzu these days.. GG blizz )
But i'll mount up anywhere that isn't 5 seconds from where i currently am.
I use flight form to get to short distances, like inside Orgrimmar or such.
But flying long ways, for example to Firelands or doing Archaeology i use my mounts.
And i collect mounts to get as many as possible, everyone who whines that "you are a druid use flight form" gets the middle finger!
Moo, are you happy now?
I used to only use flight form but since I got the pureblood firehawk off of Rag I've been using that. Horde generally whispers me asking where I got the cool looking mount. Ally's always spit on me cause they're jelli.
Ground mount I always use the warbear from the timed chest at 70 ZA.
I don't play a druid, but I almost never see druids on mounts, and I know a lot of druids in guild only have like... meta mounts, and they never touch them.
I am American mentally, with Japanese tendencies.
http://www.darklegacycomics.com/94.htmlI have mounts? I thought they had all died from lack of exercise
Somewhat related ^^
I only use flying mounts if I have a fancy costume that breaks on using flight form, and have like 60-70 mounts on my druid I think. Not sure.
I actually came to the realization yesterday that yes, I no longer use mounts on my druid. I was having to choose who to give my SoR mount to, and I wanted to give it to my mage (who I've been raiding on pretty much eclusively) or newly leveled pally (because I thought it'd look nice with her), rather than my druid who has the majority of my mounts, is my historical main, and almost exclusively uses flight form. If they do implement account-wide mounts, my choice won't matter - but if they knew they were working on that, why would they have made the SoR mount for one character only? It'd have made more sense to give it to all toons. So, I'm still skeptical they'll do it, and I'm ok with that. I like having different mounts on different toons. But if they don't, perhaps I'll just have to start collecting on one of my other classes.
Now that you can fly everywhere, I use flight form all the time except when messing around with people and I feel like pulling out odd mounts or giving someone a ride. Don't know why it took me so long, but I finally realized it is such a waste to continue to farm mounts on my druid. Flight form is such a handy keybinding (and being in it immediately is awesome!), rather than having to go to the mount page and select one of the many mounts from the list.
My favorite mount is my winterspring frostsaber that I put days and days into grinding while leveling. I was so proud of that kitty, and stopped using it because we could fly everywhere. On MoP beta I've replaced my flight form keybinding with my old trusty frostsaber, and it makes me happy but I don't seem to like it as much as I used to. Perhaps it's that I know others can get it now much more easily, or that I got so used to flight form. It will be nice to pull out the old mounts for a while though.
TL, DR: Exactly this, but I'm starting to regret the collection.
I use Vanilla ZG raptor or Tiger when in instance and flight form when i'm outdoor, and i have 104 mounts i think....
I use some, mostly land mounts. My main two are the Raven Mount (I don't care who you are, the Raven mount is a Druid mount). The other is my Amani Mount (version 2 [My mage has the version 1 mount]). And if I want to go for ****s and giggles, I'll throw out the Grand Black War Mammoth.
I only use mounts when I'm inside an area that disables flying. I have been a Druid since mounts became something special (TBC) which is also when we got flight form. Other than Anzu, which was totally worth it, I have never cared about mounts. Considering I'm an herbalist and now a worgen, I really don't care.
I am not going to be one to complain about having an instant cast, super fast mount. We do not need anything to make the rest of the mounts the same. That is just ridiculous on a "Daddy I want a golden goose now" scale.
I never use flying mounts. Instant SFF is better.
I like ground mounts (for BGs mostly).
Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

My flying mounts maybe.
Instant flight form is just to useful.
However ground mounts..
I love my raven lord/winterspring saber.
Instant flying mount>ALL.The only situation i find myself using a mount is when im chilling in Orgrimmar.
