Because private schools never have any cases of teacher's misbehaving?

It's not so much private schooling. And in the teacher's lounge is one thing. Not to the kid himself.

Never claimed to be otherwise. I can just sympathize with them because I imagine they have to put up with a LOT of shit in their average workday for very little recognition or even gratitude. Granted, they should probably find a different field of employment, and their bosses should probably help them seek other employment.

Frustrating or not, there's some things you just can't do and expect to keep your job.

This video is going to go places and fast. One of the top comments says: "this video is going to go viral and your voice will be heard." with 1082 thumbs up. That comment in particular was posted an hour ago. Those teachers better be ready!

teachers have to either love your kid because of previous connections of some kind or they have to fear the parents. anything in between and your kid won't get the attention they need, won't be treated fairly and won't get the benefit of any doubts. i'm lucky and get to take/pick my kids up every day, do all the stuff that mom's usually get to do except i'm a rough looking 230lb man with enough of a reputation so that they don't take advantage of my kid. i hold my kid 100% accountable for everything they do, but i went to 23 schools growing up and know how it can be.

you can't let it get that way.

No, because the teachers can be fired without it becoming a government scandal.

and for the record, some teachers are beyond great, go the extra mile and actually care. some are jaded, have tenure and know they have a cushy job with a TON of time off. they remind me of cops. everyone has to be kept in line by someone.

So? You're saying that like Autism is some kind of serious psychic disorder close to shizophrenia. You know, there's about 3% of people around you wherever you study/work with autism and more than 30% with asperger's syndrom (which is basically the pre-autism phase of this so-called 'disorder').

I've always been amazed at how people are so clueless about what autism/AS actually is.

No problem, I'm just trying to get it out there. It doesn't matter what peoples views are on bullying, nothing like this should ever happen to any child by a teacher.

Wow, so much for zero tolerance of bullying in our schools. I have a disabled child that was also bullied by teachers, Administrators and the Principal at her school (even directly in front of me). No one was fired or reprimanded for it. My hear breaks for this family and I hope that the situation is remedied asap.

It's something that affects how someone functions and, at least initially, prevents them from functioning at the same level as people without autism - otherwise there wouldn't be a need for autistic kids to go to special needs classes, and people with Asperger's wouldn't be able to claim it as a disability for disability checks.

Yeah, but keep in mind that for the first couple of days people were going absolutely bugfuck about Kony, and less than a week later you could say Kony and people would go "Who?"

Yeah pretty much. It will only be a while before people figure out who the teacher is and such.

That teacher shouldn't have a job around children after that. Sure teaching special needs takes a certain kind of person, but obviously she wasn't remotely qualified to do so.

It's something The Internet™ is acting outraged over, and that means it'll probably persist for a couple days and then disappear.
