It's been an amazing year for RIFT and now, we're thrilled to announce that we've just launched RIFT in Korean! ^Zann

Yeah, I'm interested to see how their expansion in the Pacific is going, specifically when they get released in China. There's a massive potential market over there (the region accounts for something like half of WoW's subscribers), it's just a question of whether or not Rift can market itself effectively over there.

Well Rift has a few things going for it when it comes to Korea:
1. THEY LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ultra realism over there. It is either hyper anime or ultra real with very little in between
2. Some of the raid mechanics are very punishing and require perfect movement and Koreans love that
3. The pvp grind to them is a flat out joke and these guys LOVE LOVE consequence based pvp. I PROMISE you if I could I would roll on a Korean pvp server in a heartbeat.
4. These guys are starting out with a years worth of content compared to what we launched with. They are on patch 1.8
5. Aion and Tera have not had major updates over there in a few months and WoW has been stagnant also.

Negatives:
1. I doubt the leveling grind is that intense so there are lvl 50's easily by now
2. No fort based capture style pvp

Rift could be pretty popular over there. ALSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO with Rift currency being like candy currency sellers will not ruin the game for alot of people who HATE HATE HATE that crap in Korea. Also the bot mechanics and controls are INTENSE in Rift, so no bot'n for a majority of your goods.
