    Hmm.. I can't remember. It was either "Dead Letters" by The Rasmus or "Ocean Avenue" by Yellowcard.

    After that I didn't really listen to music until I bought "Stadium Arcadium" a few years later.

    Not until recently when I got an ipod did I really get into music. Due to having never really bought any before the age of 18, you can imagine the horror when I got my bank statement after plundering itunes, not thinking how much I was spending.

    My first album I purchased (and second, cause I bought them at the same time) were White Zombie - Astro Creep 2000 and 311-311.

    Yep, quite different I know.

    My little brother also bought that album as his first when he was twelve. You must be the same age.

    @Snakebonzai! Lucky you!

    My first two albums were Pearl Jam's "Ten",

    and Nine Inch Nails' "Broken".

    Not too shabby for an 8 year old.

    Felt compelled to register just for this... been stalking these forums for long enough anyway.

    First album: Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry, partly because of the awesomeness of the album cover (too bad I can't post links yet) . I must have been around 10 at the time and have been a metalhead ever since.

    Manifesto of Dark Tranquillity

    Essentially a DT "best of" type compilation.
    First album I bought off on my own, I did receive ones before from relatives though.

    Screaming for vengeance - Judas priest. The first (i think) and one of the very few albums I have bought.
    I grew up downloading everything and it is more or less the norm for me. As long as it is obtainable and without legal consequences I dont think I will change no matter what financial situation I may find myself in.

    I can't really say I bought this, as it was a birthday gift from my brother. It was the first album I ever owned though
