    Weird Deaths on Ultraxion

Just curious if anyone else had some strange deaths on Ultraxion this week.
25m hc we had 6 people take a twilight instability (his pulsing aoe damage) by themselves:

    [18:17:32.723] Ultraxion Twilight Instability person1 135892 (O: 18921, A: 1020)
    [18:17:32.727] Ultraxion Twilight Instability person2 129308 (O: 26030, A: 495)
    [18:17:32.727] Ultraxion Twilight Instability person3 147303 (O: 8035, A: 495)
    [18:17:32.727] Ultraxion Twilight Instability person4 131413 (A: 1045)
    [18:17:32.727] Ultraxion Twilight Instability person5 Absorb (155834)
    [18:17:32.727] Ultraxion Twilight Instability person6 130479 (A: 25355)

usually hits for ~37k per person

Curious if anyone else had any problems with strange deaths

Shares the damage depending on how players that are there so if Alot of people goes in pressing the button the people that stays will take alot of dmg.

    ... i don't think 19 people used heroic will.

the twilight instability before and after the one i mentioned above hit everyone correctly

That would mean you've got 19 people either dead or phased out when the Instability cast. You'd have to really screw up or be wiping for that to happen. I have seen the occasional strange issue, likely caused by server lag on targeting, where an individual has eaten Instability entirely alone while phasing into the normal realm surrounded by people who are alive. Very, very rare, but it's happened. Unless you see any consistency or realize you had 19 people phased out at the wrong time, I'd chalk it up to horrifyingly bad luck.

The damage is not the problem then, the issue is that 19 people decided to run away or that you are to spread out so that one player getting targeted and everyone else in range of him will share the dmg.

Range. Someone was standing WAY outside the group, and those 5 just happened to be just close enough to take it.

It hits everyone in a massive radius, but stuff like that can still happen. Is one of the "person"s a rogue, and did he happen to cast Killing Spree around then?

    the first 3 were melee
the last 3 were ranged (2 were healers so they never get fading light like the guy higher up mentioned)
the twilight instabilities before and after hit everyone ;l

Theres always somethign strange happening on Ultraxion. We had people freeze up whenever they got fading light for example, and yes it happened to more than one person.

    Apologies for log-stalking but.

"person1" used Killing spree. I'm willing to bet they were the target for that instability, and persons 2 through 6 were the only ones within 30 yards. If you want to avoid it, stack a little closer to him, or stack a little farther away and make sure everyone stays back, so any rogue who goes to killing spree risks being 1-shot.

KS dumps you pretty much directly in front of him, and can take a rogue well out of position. Depending on where the raid stacks, it can be dangerous to use.

looking at the logs a bit more, the first person who got hit (assuming that's who it was cast on) was a rogue using killing spree so might be something funky with that

@braindwen we were stacked up pretty good right on the 2nd line
