A jungler will run around killing the neutral mobs in the jungle to gain XP and will "gank" (come from the jungle to kill an enemy without them knowing you're coming). An AD Carry takes mostly Attack Damage items and does lots of damage with auto attacks. An AP will take Ability Power items and do most of their damage through their abilities.

You usually get a bruiser top (one who can soak a lot of dmg, tanky dps), AP mid, a jungler and AD carry + support bot - that's the most common setup, though there is exceptions to every rule

The reason why you've got a jungler is for your top to get 100% xp instead of only 50% (if they had to be 2 top) + you get the advantage of having a player who roams around the map, helping out your lanes while 'ganking' the enemy.

Just start playing. You learn everything as you go along.
Why am I back here, I don't even play these games anymore

The problem with the internet is parallel to its greatest achievement: it has given the little man an outlet where he can be heard. Most of the time however, the little man is a little man because he is not worth hearing.
