Anyone interested in learning SDL (game programming)?

Hello, I'm currently participating in an SDL course initiated by some members on the GOG.com forums. However, we don't currently have a lot of participants and would very much like some more, so we decided to ask in some other communities. We're currently pretty much in the beginning so it should not be a problem for you to catch up if you start now (we took a crash course in C++ to start with, but the second SDL lesson was just posted today). We have forums where we can share code, get hints and ask questions and such.

If you're interested you can find the all the lessons and our forums here. Additionally, you can check out this thread if you want more info.

It's a nice introduction to OOP tbh. While there's probably better things out there they'll be very easy to learn if you've already got some experience.

I would be interested in joining up as I'm currently in school for computer science and i'm in the process of learning C++(still a noob lol) but I am always up for learning more and expanding my skills and learning a new language!

XNA is where most game devs are sat these days, but SDL while old, is still pretty decent.
You're correct that there's many good choices. If I remember correctly, the reason SDL was picked was because we wanted something cross-platform that's relatively easy to learn.

That's great I hope we'll get some people to sign up since the whole thing will be more interesting that way.
