    Stuck around 12k dps :(

Started gearing up my warrior as arms and I recently seemed to have hit a wall where I'm getting stuck around 12-13k dps. I plugged some stuff into Rawr and it tells me I'd be doing more dps as fury. Is it possible that at lower gear levels that I'd be doing more damage as fury?

Fury suffers from rage starvation and RNG issues currently. Nothing like having a string of misses while you're enraged only to have your window close for increased damage as soon as you land a hit. It's annoying and the main reason arms is ahead of fury now. You've gone arms, I think that's a step in the right direction. Until you get comfortable with arms and make good macros don't get into the stance dance min/maxing.

Looking at your gear i really can not find anything wrong at all, so im sure it gotta be some problems with your priority rotation :\

What I'm doing for priority is start out by putting rend up, HS if over 80 rage then use MS and 2 abilities between every MS CS>OP>Slam

    1.Rend (apply)
    2.Colossus Smash (everytime it's up)
    3.Mortal Strike (everytime it's up)
    4.Overpower
    5.Slam
6.Heroic Strike (with excess rage [65+])

I was suffering the same issues. esp when wanting to AOE sucessfully. What i found was i was letting my MS drop for too long or clipping it.
I fixed it by setting up a power aura to always show my mortal strike debuff timer.
I also found if i stuck to my MS > everything rule my dps went up signifivcantly. use sweaping stikes on every trash pull its up,
also when you are raged stacked use innerrage, just as you see a CS pop, as that will let you maximise HS spam while under CS (KEEP YOUR MS UP)
Deadly cailm as often as you can but again i like just holding it back for when i know ill be getting a CS proc again, holp it helps.

some things to note. (that you may not have taken into account)

Careful with sudden death procs: try not to burn an SD proc right after you apply CS. hold it until CS is at 1-2 seconds remaining (and MS is on CD) even if you don't burn the SD proc, CS's cooldown will remain reset even after the SD proc expires.

Be generous with your short cooldowns, particularily SS, you should be dropping that on every pull with more than one mob.

For bosses, shattering throw is your comrade, (esp during the beginning of bloodlust)

Looking at your current armory, your gear still has plenty of room to improve, through raid finder, and hour of twilight heroics.

Just by looking at your gear...

Your pants, shoulders, helm, both trinkets one of your rings are absolute rubbish. If you are experienced with a warrior you should be sitting around 14 to 18k dps with what you have.

But as it is obvious you just leveled up I recommend you go read the http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...e-Arms-Warrior Arms sticky (it's pretty good) and do a couple of hours of simple dummy spanking. It really helps you to get the rotation into your muscle memory. Make sure you ALWAYS hit MS on time, that you never lose an OP proc and that you dont clip CS with Sudden Death procs.

Go look for a proper addon (altought it can be done without one aswell, but you need to set up your blizzard UI in a very specific way, so its much easyer if you just get some addons).

As your gear will improve so will your dps. Use your justice points to get some 378 tier pieces ASAP. Dont waste JP or VP on the trinkets at the start they are just not that good.

Do this and eventually your dps will star climbing up.

Arms rotation is not hard, but is very tight, has a few cooldown tricks and requires you to pay atention to what you have active or not.

    Good luck.

    P.S.

GET A META GEM! You are losing huge amounts of STR there.
