Gear replacement in a new expansion comes to this: Dragon soul gear has a lot of sockets, and epic gems put you over budget (and more or less all of those overbudget stats are going to be agility). It will take at least 13-14 item level points difference for MoP leveling gear to replace a dragon soul piece. Keep in mind leveling gear doesn't have sockets. Even with some of the second zone quest rewards my agility dropped substantially when I replaced my DS gear. The difference is about 600 agility (!). I had about 6800 agility at level 87 in DS gear, and 6200 agility in leveling gear, and I don't think 2k health is worth 600 agility (the leveling gear put me at 179k health, the DS gear at about 176-177). My rogue on live is at 400 ilevel as of when I copied over.

Turn out it's pretty equal with slight change in position for #1. It's a safe move to say Legendary daggers are BiS but other heroic mode weapons can be just as much competitive as the daggers.
Fury of the destroyer doesn't mean anything when leveling/questing. Shadows of the destroyer is useful. Case in point: at one point I started attacking a wolf with 44 stacks of shadows of the destroyer. Wings procced on the killing blow.

I think it's spec dependant. Combat will replace them sooner imho, because face it, fellow rogues: The proc sucks für combat for everything not raiding related.
Sub and Assa will probably keep them a little longer due the fast stacking agi-bonus. If I keep mine past Lv88, I'll be suprised.
Glyph of Lightspring New: Transforms your Lightwell into a Lightspring: Creates a Holy Lightspring. Every 5 sec the Lightspring will attempt to heal party and raid members lower than 50% health for (5,735 + 55.3% of SP) over 6 sec. Attacks done to the target equal to 30% of your total health will cancel the effect. Lightspring lasts for 3 min or until 15 heals are expended.
In Soviet Pandaria, Lightwell klicks you!

Yes, they stack wicked fast on the beta servers right now. As Assassination I would say I can get 3-4 procs in the time it would take me to get 1 or 2 on live. Though I guess it evens out because right now Envenom hits like a wet noodle compared to live. I can understand why they don't want gear to last forever, but considering the amount of effort time it took to obtain them I was hoping the daggers would have a little more longevity.

Monks are a melee class that can use 1H swords. Why not?

They've updated Shadowmourne's class restrictions, so I assume allowing the warglaives is intended.

Hmm.... This is what I have guessed so far. At the end of every month, the Dragon Soul raid recieves a 5% nerf right?
And blizzard has planned to let the nerf work its way up to 35%. Now, today (or yesterday, depending on if you play the EU or US version) the nerf has worked its way up to 20%. And it will take another 3 months for it to get to 35%. And of course, blizzard wants to let us "enjoy" the 35%, so expect that one to be up for at least a month. So yeah, expect to use your daggers for another four months....

Are you sure its not 30%? That's what the ICC buff went to.

The buff in Dragon Soul is only going to 30%, just like in ICC.

In MoP you will be able to transmog legendary weapons.

Combat will use double No'Kaled right from the start (for questing).

I must have missed this! I don't really like it... going to see so many glaives and thunderfuries it won't make the items quite so unique.

isn't the axe from heroic madness already better than the legendary main mainhand?

everyone and his mother is telling me this... just saying.

In practice it may be very close but in math, shadowcraft gives me a 3k+ dps decrease from the daggers in BiS gear. It's also useless to use the axe on any fight where you cleave(boat, skittle, pingpong, i go sub on the others but madness), meaning you should only ever use it on h ultra, IF it gives YOU better numbers in practice.

Well, I play with my Mage in beta, done all the Dungeons available so far, leveled to 87 which is the cap at the moment and still havent found a better weapon to replace my legendary staff which is 397 ilvl. I bet that the Rogues Legendaries will be viable till 90 lvl Heroics.

Nope. The legendary staf is extremely good since it replicates a spell/dot/whatever - hence it can doubles a 150k pyroblast or any spell of this kind for double damage.

Rogue daggers are mostly good for weapon damage (which is ridiculous compared to some blue and even green MoP weapons) and the agility stacks (a static difference that will be compensated by the higher ilvls). The proc itself isn't right now stellar, won't be better in MoP.

Just like Woltk with Shadowmorune being replaced well by a Deepholm axe mind you.

Gear is meant to be replaced, Say if It's continues to be used for some unknown reason; Blizzard likes to nerf things.
    Mind you, he is right!

Didn't the legendary bow from sunwell last through naxx 10?

No, it didn't last through Sunwell. The patch just before Wrath came out make its legendary effect useless and it wasn't BiS anymore. Its the only legendary that was worse than Fangs.

This is what I'm thinking, probably should use h-madness weapons over the legendaries for lvling. Probably around lvl 87 you'll start replacing H-DS weapons.

Shame it won't give us a mount or anything like Dragonwrath, seriously what the hell were they thinking when they gave it Slow Fall...
