For example, there's a quest in Silverpine that has her personally send the player out to collect insignia's from fallen Forsaken soldiers so they can be remembered and honoured. That's something Tirion Fordring would do, not a heartless bitch who see's her people as nothing more than a meat-shield. There's another moment in Silverpine where she rides to the Sepulcher with the player while she explains the plight of the Forsaken and it honestly seems like she just wants to secure a place in the world for them. Then there's her updated Hallow's End speech. There's a lot of stuff like that dotted around the game that makes me wonder if there's a little more to her than meets the eye.

So yeah, either Sylvanas is changing with the Arthas rage no longer driving her or she's an EXTREMELY good and dedicated liar. I know a lot of people will think that's kind of a no-brainer considering her record but I'm not so sure.
Well I think that's because the story was before she was shown something that motivated her to come back for the Forsaken. That was her attitude before her initial resurrection. When she came back we then had the long Gilneas questline which was after her change of heart in the story.

In an interview Chris Metzen revealed that Sylvanas was ordered to move south into Gilneas because the Horde wanted a port in northern Lordaeron. Metzen mentioned Sylvanas was "in the dog house" with the Horde after the Wrathgate events and has to move when the leadership of the Horde orders her to do so.

Aye, Garrosh wanted a port and decided it would be in Greymane's territory. Sylvanas' army was the one in the area so he ordered them to take Gilneas.

He set a viper on the isolationist state and was appalled when it tried to use its venom in the kill. He really isn't the sharpest tool in the shed or a general that understands the forces at his disposal on even a basic level. xD

He fought with them in Northrend ,I really don't understand what he expected them to do, serve tea and biscuits instead of deadly neurotoxic slime bombs? He shouldn't be that naive. ;P

Mhmm. It's a little disappointing really. When a character's thinking is so contradictory to his experience, I can't really blame the actual character and I am compelled to look to his creation. =/

What annoys me more than the people who claim Sylvanas is only in the game because of horny teens, is the fact that killing Sylvanas seems so easy. Shes died 3 or so times now and its starting to feel like shes Mario at the hands of a 5 year old. Im not saying she should be immortalized because she already died a few times but make it seem like shes a powerful lore hero instead of some noob with a few 1 Up's. Ide imagine it would be hard to kill Varian or Magni, so why is it so easy to kill off Sylvanas whenever they cant think of something to fill in the blanks.

Not to mention the Forsaken is alot more powerful than people give them credit for, they will gladly release their plague onto the world if the world snaps at them and in a war scenario what they make up for in lack of physical strength they excell at in survival, no food water needed etc.

So yeah if they did kill off Sylvanas I would honestly lose all respect for their writers tbh.

Both Sylvanas and Thrall should've died long ago to make room for new characters. Now they are nothing but walking former shells of themselves

Ya, after 6 years of them standing still we all hoped something major would happen in Cataclysm... It didn't.

I would praise new Forsaken leader, Nathanos Marris <Blightcaller, King of the Forsaken>
