Auto attack question

This might be a dumb question but are champion auto attacks separated into AD/AP? Like is Brand's auto attack AP compared to Xz's autoattack AD? Just wondering cause if i choose a champion with a AP auto attack but go AD. Or are auto attacks just normal white damage and neither AD or AP?

All autoattacks are AD. Some champs have passives that increase them or strike double every few attacks, but yeah - autoattack = AD.

Early game everyone's right clicks are of equal power. Best remember that, weave them inbetween your skills and you are doing a lot more damage. Playing a mage people don't expect the damage, level 2-3 deaths are quite common if you can gain the upperhand.

AP affects auto attack damage done to turrets, but turrets only. Helps give AP heavy teams some pushing power.

Yeah, Attack Damage is mainly for auto-attacks, while Ability Power is mainly for abilities. However, some abilities scale with Attack Damage.
