Am I really that weird ?

I'm a teenager and instead of going to the club and party hard all night, i prefer playing video games and watch a movie/tv show. Yes i do go outside with a few friends but im talking about the nightlife. Everytime i say that i don't like clubs i get called weirdo and told to ''get a life''...Am i weird or not ?

The club scene isn't for everyone. I myself have difficulty with drinking, my stomach reacts quite strongly to it.

There are many more ways to socialise than going to clubs

I don't think it's weird. For some reason hanging out with friends playing videogames or making fun of Elrond in LotR is seen as inferior to going out and party.

Not at all. I'd stay home anc watch My Little Pony and play video games any day.

Nightclubs are crap anyway, they are loud, hot and sweaty. Good luck chatting up a woman when you cannot hear yourself speak.

Weird? no. But a lot of people generalize, and if people don't like the same stuff as they do, they think it's wrong or weird. That's life, sadly.

No you're not. There are lots of people who don't like to go to clubs. If people can't accept that people are different then they are the weird ones.

Also, think of all the money you are saving. $15 a month for endless entertainment or spending ~200 pounds a night (On a cheap night - when I lived in northern England for 3 years). Also, it gets old.

There is nothing wrong with prefering one thing than another, I prefer watching movies by my self rather than with someone else :P

"Teenager" could be anything from 13 to 19, it's hard to tell until we know what part of that band you are. Anything under 18 and... no, for clubs and shit, even then 18 is kinda "meh". Drinking at home at parties and shit then maybe 16+. . 19 and you're at university or whatever and yeah you should be going out because that's what you're meant to do.

Even then, the whole thing is optional, noone can force you to go out with people you don't like to do something you don't want to do.

To each their own. Do whatever makes you happy.

I hate nightclubs as well, and I wouldn't call myself an anti-social person.

In my experience, they are only fun if you are completely and utterly smashed. You can't talk to anyone because of the noise.

When my friends go to clubs, their goal is to "rub up" on as many girls as possible (who are also hammered) in hopes to land a one-night stand.

I find the whole cycle a bit ridiculous. If you love having anonymous sex, then have at it.

You're weird if you're not social at all. But as long as you have friends (outside of WoW), you're normal.

I don't think that if you're 19 you're meant to do that, not everbody in the university go to clubs, etc...

Well in general, i don't like to go to clubs alone, or with a small group but if is a big group (that i know) i will gladly go , but normally i'm in my house playing video games or surfing the internet :P

I don't like nightclubs too. Lots of people I know don't like them. It's a personal preference. I don't go there because the music is too loud, it's full of idiots/drunks and other creeps and there's nothing to do except dance to some stupid music where lyrics make no sense. If I wanted to dance with my gf we can easily do that at home (I don't like dancing anyway - I'm no good at it so I don't do it. Plus, it's an ancient "ritual" that should have nothing to do in a modern day world. But it's fun for some, so...meh). If I wanted to listen to music then I'd do that at home too - I can listen to what I want and the sound quality is a lot better. To me - nightclubs are just pointless. So - no, you are not weird - you choose what you want to do, you like what you do and that's that. So, good for you for being above the ~90% teenagers/young adults. You shouldn't give a crap what others think about your free-time activities anyways if you enjoy them (unless it's seriously against the law )

I'm straight edge and I also don't like what it does to people. You're not weird, I don't go to parties/cubs either simply because people act differently when they're there, not to mention the females here act like such whores, add partying to the mix and you've got an even worse combination.

Clubbing is honestly the worst thing in the world. Super loud music that is probably a terrible remix of a song you don't even like to begin with, and overpriced drinks. More traditional bars can be a lot of fun though. Also the best drinking game I know of is called wizard sticks. You drink your beer normally. But when you finish it you duck tape it to the bottom of your next beer. After a while it gets really silly to drink from, but you will have a cool wizard stave.

    Weird? Not really.

I actually see going to clubs and partying every time you have some spare time something negative and along the lines of excessive video game playing or eating disorders.

All of them are ruining your health and not good for you. I don't like clubs much either, mostly because I can't stand loud music and men trying to hit on me. It was a bit flattering when I was 16 but now it's just annoying and most of them are repulsive anyway.. or maybe I just attract the low brow ones who are only interesting in mating, cars and football.
