DW Frost with 2x Conquest weapons or 2H Frost with Normal Gurth?

For pvp I think 2h will be better despite weapons. For pve I believe that dw will be superior even with slightly worse weapons such as your scenario.

PvE - Gurth hands down

PvP - Dual wield, Gurth is good don't get me wrong but we have enough slows, snares, etc to do what Gurth does, and the extra resil is nice because frost survival is worst of all 3 specs.

For pvp isn't 2H better for necro strike regardless ?

arena is better with 2h for necro strikes
for rbgs and normal bgs dw frost is superior IMO as it deals out insane AOE damage with Howling Blast
thats assuming you run a masterfrost build which eliminates obliterate and uses howling blast for the main nuke.

Well that would be much better for pve. Then in terms of pvp I personally would play unholy with gurth but for frost it depends on what /kind/ of pvp we're talking about (See: jizzyburnizzy)

I'd roll Gurth with unholy but keep the DW for frost.

I really, really don't want to go unholy since I don't really like the spec. I run 2s with a holy paladin and am currently not in a 3v3 team anymore.

In that case I'd advice you to go 2H because you'll need the necrotic strikes to kill something on your own. And the resilience lost with norm gurth is nothing when running 2s with a healer.

As you say you have 2 x HoM as well id DW these but it depends really, the general opnion is DW for BG and 2-hand for Arena, at least in 2s and 3s.

Pick the spec you like most, 2H = more RP generation, DW = more KM procs.
Since you have 2 HC HoMs I'd definitely go DW if I were you

BTW: NS might scale on weapon damage but the absorb, which is more important, scales on AP.
