    [Books] Gone - Opinions?

I just checked out the book Gone, by Michael Grant, and I got about 10 pages in before I had to stop reading (busy day.) I was actually looking for another book when I picked it up since the book I wanted was not in. It looked pretty interesting, and it seemed like my kind of genre. So, what I'm asking is, what's your opinion on Gone? Please no spoilers, but what did you like about it? Just trying to start conversation, and see what people think about this book I'm about to get into.

No spoilers not included at the back of the cover on my book!

I plowed through it, in the good way. Although some characters felt a bit generic, I thought the story was interesting, I wanted to keep reading and find out what was going on, and it had times of tension. At its best it's a Lord of the Flies with modern equipment, a bit of romance, more visible bad guys and, not to be forgotten, SUPER POWERS!!!(it says at the back of the cover At its worst, it's generic people being generic, if not only for a while. If you've got it, I'd read it if I were you. It feels centered for a younger audience than me, 15-17ish, but at 21 I enjoyed myself. Went through it in two days at easter break in our cottage.

Oh, yea, and I'm definitely picking up the other book in the series, if that's the recommendation you're looking for. I'm picking up the last book of Mira Grant's Newsflesh trilogy first though, as I REALLYREALLY enjoy that series. Found that one on accident when I was looking at Michael Grant, hahah.
10 char req. - because explaining is good.
