Things to know about Diablo 3?

I just recently made up my mind I'm going to pick up this game at midnight release and play it insanely for like 40 hours straight on release night.

Is there really anything that you NEED to know about the game, before picking it up to help you hugely maximize time spent vs progress completed, I'm not sure because beta only went up to level 13 and did the first quest of the act I, has the gameplay really not been fleshed out?

If it has, is there a link to any forums that tell you what stats the character you are going to be playing needs, good drops in the first few areas, rare monster kills etc?

I'm all in for the Wizard...
Good drops=All over the place. The game is based on RNG drop on the boss'.
Rare monster, will be random spawns if I'm corret, and as we havn't seen more than what we have in the Beta we don't know much about rares, and such.
I think there is some tooltips to tell what stats you need. However, a Wizard much like the Socs, need int, so my guess is that is where our primary stat focus should be.
