    Chen Guangcheng

    So is it just me, or is this guy The Daredevil?

    He is a blind lawyer who was under house arrest with 50-100 police around him at all times and sheets of metal over his windows. He feigned illness for 2 weeks to convince his guards he was bedridden, then snuck out of his house and jumped a few walls, severely injuring his leg in the process. He then swam across a river and was picked up by a friend who took him to Beijing, where he hid out in various apartments before deciding to go to the US Embassy once his leg injury was bad enough. After a dramatic car chase with Chinese police, he transferred from his vehicle to an embassy vehicle in a dark alley and was taken to the US Embassy. Once there, he refused to request asylum because he wanted to continue to live in China to fight the oppressive regime. He finally left the embassy to go to his wife because he was concerned for her safety.

    Is it just me, or is this guy:
