I'm of a similar opinion, I'm fine with no quests being available to players in enemy territory but I don't see the harm in being able to raid other factions home cities. The devs themselves said in the video; this game is about exploration, so it would be incredibly hypercritical to lock out almost two thirds of Tamriel to your character.

Now that I think about it, I think not allowing other factions into your faction zone is actually a bad idea after all. They obviously dont want any pvp going on, so make them non pvp zones, but at least let us explore them.

I don't know exactly how they are going to do the faction zones. What I'd like to see is that if your Faction is able to crown one of your own emperor, that gives you the ability to safely explore the other Faction zones. Your faction is fighting for dominance. If you don't crown anyone emperor, then you aren't able to access those zones. It makes sense to me.

Overall, what impresses me most is the Imperial City concept.

You have 3 factions, that all fight against each other towards one specific exclusive goal, the Imperial City and the Imperial Throne. Hopefully the feature will be deep and actually meaningful, as it's not a concept that we often see(albeit a very interesting one).

it's gonna be kind of stupid to see stuff like "lulusukdik has been crowned emperor!". but, i think i might actually be disappointed if i don't see at least one redguard with a name regarding the HoonDing in a sexual manner.

I'm very disappointed with the looks of argonians in this future game. I really hope it's just a crappy alpha model and very much subject to change.

At this point, the game is pre-alpha so I am sure a lot of things will be subject to change. Even once it goes into closed and then open beta things will still be subject to change. Although by then the character models will probably be completed. I'd say wait for the beta before you pass judgement on the Argonians. =)

Hard to tell looking face on in the upper screenshot you posted, imo aslong as they stay true to that concept art you posted im more than happy.

Remember, no need to start whining yet folks, it's still pre-alpha. For all we know those could be placeholder models for the argonians.

Let's not start the "It's only in alpha!" "It's only in beta" "It's still six weeks to launch" bullshit. These claims have become jokes in the MMO world. 9 times out of 10 when a game drops the ball on something huge like gameplay or a model design, they do so as early as alpha and do little more than updating the textures before launch.

Besides, the models and most of the game looks hideous. Even if it changes, who cares. We have the screenshots now and they look butt ugly NOW. What, it's whining if we ignore that because of some fictitious leeway period that "fans' invented to give them time to pick up any dropped balls? No thanks.

No one's out of line, here.

Couldn't agree with this guy more; if you don't like something within reason, make a damn noise about it, and ignore the "it could change, just wait."

Let's have a look at the first incarnation of FF14.

Let's not have it turn into that.

So when it's time to "whine", as you put it? When the game is finished and any change will be 100% harder to implement due to it being out already and under peoples eyes?

This is exactly the right time to "whine", because now it will have most impact during mid-developement.

Most of the game looks hideous o.o ? Some strong words. Skyrim is no beauty with low poly textures and it does not matter. It's the atmosphere that counts, not the pixels. I think the only apropriate question to ask here in regard to graphic is: Does it run smoothly with 100-200 players standing near each other at max settings ? If it does it's a smashing success by current standard of MMOs in regard to graphics. High poly all around with 3 fps and 10 second lag, but the screens look beautiful right ... I will pass on that.

As for the Argonian models ... I have said it before, it's a matter of taste really. I can imagine Beth having a statistics where they see 0.1% players picking the original Argonian models for their characters in Skyrim. My biased opinion, but I do remember when browsing character screens on forums back when Skyrim launched ... never have I seen a pic of Argonian. Humans, Elves, Khajiit seemed to be the popular choices. But yeah, maybe it's just that I don't like the inhuman version of Argonian really.

Some rescue. No wonder you're called the Order of Whispers. Nobody would brag about this.
What have you become when even nightmares fear you ?

Strong words indeed as they are my own. I'd expect everyone to have an opinion and for those opinions to be voiced. Otherwise, why show us anything until the game was launched? After all, it's us that they're making the game for, let's not forget that.

I've always played argonians and being able to create one in an MMO platform would be awesome. It's not that I'm upset with them for not reaching into my brain and somehow modelling them after my preferences, I'm upset that they couldn't even match their own concept art which I very much like. They dont look like bipedal lizards, they look like dudes in halloween costumes. Again, opinions.

This really shouldn't be for PC/Mac only if that's the case

Fuck that, heard that enough times with TOR, and look where it got that. Never become complacent.

If there's a problem, say it now before things are set in stone. I still think we should be able to visit the entire world and not be locked by invisible walls just because of our faction.

Oh my god. A race in an MMORPG looks terrible. Call the police!

Anyways, the devs seem to be taking a lot of feedback. So hammer them enough with the Argonian complaint and they'll probably look into it.

Apart from the Elder Scrolls name, this game is looking pretty bad so far from the trailers. Combat looks pretty terrible and weird. I also despise factions of any kind, so that's a major turn off.

Hopefully I'm wrong though and this turns out to be a great game, because I'd really like to play a new MMO that can keep my attention for more than a week.

It's funny how people can look at the same thing, the same demo trailers and such and have completely different reactions/ points of view.

For example, I watched the ArcheAge trailers and the game looks horrible to me (not the graphics but the game play and content). But many players are hyped over it. *shrugs*
