One-stop shop for Login Music impressions/feedback.

EDIT: Heart of Pandaria is now active as the beta login theme.

Let's try to get ahead of the end of the school day on this. Let's put the 20,000 "login music" threads in here instead.

For those of you who don't know, the likely login screen music was added in the latest patch. "Heart of Pandaria" is an 8-minute track on the front page.

I honestly feel this is the best login track yet. The first thing I noticed was it sounded like it was recorded live instead of just synthesized. The quiets were quieter, the instruments had more flow. Secondly, it fit the theme very well during the first part. After the traditional WoW opening line, it moved into some very traditional Pandaria music, interrupted then by conflicting tunes from Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Wonderfully matching the "war theme" with Pandaria "stuck in the cross-fire."

But the back half really did it for me, when the song turned into a clearly asian, yet still heroic theme. Almost like out of the war emerged new heroes.

But anyway, I could go on for a while. Post your feelings below, and if you see any of those 20,000 threads later, point them here.

I was lost for words when I heard it . MoP music has been awesome so far.

Loved every bit of it. I agree at it being the best login music yet. As a working orchestrator and composer I love hearing what they will write next and the instrumentation that they use. I love what they have done with the Stormwind and Org themes. In the Org theme I really liked the change in one of the intervals and the overall darker feeling they gave the two.

Edit: To clarify Wrath and Cata music was recorded entirely live as well.

I almost wish it was shorter so I could hear the entire epic theme before completely logging in. ^_^'

I think it's good but I've liked all of them
The 6:33-ending part is the best bit, I am hoping it is its own full track somewhere in MoP

Yep it's in-game right now. Time to take an 8-minute break from studying.

The stuff at 6:15...epic beyond belief...really think (and hope) that this is the "Mogu theme"...just sounds so Ancient and regal. I'm very wowed by this intro (no pun intended) and all of the MoP music we've heard thus far.

Music of the east and music of the west meet in perfect harmony and it is great.

Almost all of WoW's music is done with real instruments.

Anyways, it's pretty good. Some parts drag a bit and I feel there's really a lack of flow in it, it sort of abruptly bounces from one track to the next- I suppose to sort of symbolize the state Pandaria will be in but I doubt it's that deep.

The Shattering was better (although with such an awesome track that included so many great themes I doubt they'll top it anytime soon) but Heart of Pandaria is still great. My only minor complaints are it didn't flow well sometimes and it could have used a little more chorus.

I also think the MoP OST is amazing so far. It's not as good as Cataclysm's, but that's because Cataclysm had such a huge variety of different music (because it was redone for so many zones with a ton of different locations and themes) so it's not really MoP's fault on that, but you know.

Honestly when I listen to this login music, my jaw drops in portions of the piece. This song encompasses the mystery of Pandaria, the war raging on between the horde and alliance and the peace and neutrality of the Panderan. Never has Blizzard ceased to amaze me with their music but this is the best yet to come. This only concreted the fact that I will be buying the collectors edition.

Not all. Up until late BC it was all synthesized.
