Fallout New Vegas or Dragon Age 2

Fallout new vegas by a long shot.

Dragon age 2 is to rpg's what the sims is to fighting games... not much.

DA origins was amazing so if you haven't played it i strongly recomend it. DA 2 was not very good, your decissions rly didn't have an impact to the game. The second big problem was that they reused zones which made it quite boring. I would play DA 2 just for the story because it will probably have something to do with DA 3.

Fallout new vegas was kinda meh compared to Fallout 3. It was a good game but i never realy got into the story and coun't be bothered with it after i finished it...

I never really liked DAO. In fact, I've always gotten bored about 70% through to the point that I end up playing something else and forgetting about it. The plot is lousy and the gameplay isn't interesting enough to keep me working through the plot. I love the setting and think they did a pretty good job with it, but the actual gameplay and plot were pretty terrible.

Ok, why do people say DA2 was bad? I played it and fount it enjoyable. I admit, didn't play the first DA, but there can't be such a huge difference, can it? I understood that in first DA you couldn't even tell what some of the speech options will have as a tone, while in DA2 you do have that. What made DA so much better then 2 if someone can explain for someone who hasn't played normal DA please?

Its a personal preference thing but I liked FNV a lot more than DA2. Especially when you include all the mods that have been made for FNV like Project Nevada.

I guess I would put it this way. DAO felt like it was ported to the Consoles from the PC. DA2 felt like it was ported to the PC from the Consoles.

DA2 had many improvements over DAO. But it had a weaker story and was ruined by too much copy and paste and spending too much time in the same zones over and over again.

DA2 was basically a Dynasty Warriors game when compared to DA:O.

I see, thanks for replies. So weaker story and more spending in same zones with some problems in controls. Hmmm... now I'm curious about how DA:O was, maybe I should check that out as well.

Get Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition. It is even better than FO3 and can suck you in for weeks.

Dragon Age 2 is a disgrace to RPG genre. You cant make a game that is kinda like Dragon Age: Origins and kinda like Mass Effect 2 in 1.5 year. Here you will have to deal with recycled environments for quests, claustrophobic city that never changes, weakly developed party members, poorly executed story and teleporting enemies - a gimmick that throws any attempt at tactical approach to combat out of the window. Clearly an unfinished game.

DAO was pretty terrible. About its only strongpoint was the Dragon Age universe they created, which is actually pretty good. But the plot, gameplay, etc? All pretty horrible.

Yup, PNV is made by the same folks responsible for Fallout Wanderers Edition for FO3, so you know it'll be good. It's not nearly as mature as FWE, however, and since Skyrim is the big dog, I'm not sure people will be spending much time on New Vegas mods anymore.

FoNV is better than Fo3. DA2 is worse than DA1. DA1 is an amazing game if you like RPGs that focus more on story and personalities. If you prefer freedom and exploration - definitely Fallout.

I would definitely recommend getting DAO if your PC can handle it. There are a number of DLC's and mods for it. Especially the awesome Grey Warden Runic Armor mod.

DA2 was shorter and more linear than DAO. I recall one of the excuses made up for DA2 was that we shouldn't expect too much from the middle episode of a trilogy to which I always replied, Empire... Strikes... Back...

I don't get why people cite story as a big thing of DAO; the story sucked! The characters and NPCs were all interesting and I enjoyed exploring the dialogue trees, but the overall plot was absolutely horrible, and the gameplay wasn't much better (put mage in party, roll face on keyboard, win game.)

SirRobin, that's incredible. I never modded DAO much; just a character respec mod and Dracomies' Dragon Age Redesigned, but that's some seriously high-quality stuff right there. Whoever made that is a pretty talented artist.

Between the two, Fallout New Vegas. If I could pick, though, I'd go with Fallout 3, personally. I loooooooved three, NV was a disappointment. That said, I still liked it better than any of the Dragon Age games (Never got into DAO or anything...).
