Curcial M4 is pretty good in the reasonable price range (which is what I am assuming seeing as you haven't opted for 256GB). If you are talking absolute best there are SLC Enterprise class SSD's which cost more than a whole new system.
Best and best for the money are different.
Crucial M4 is the best performance/dollar.
Intel 520 (120GB) is generally regarded as the best.
Edit: Of course, I am assuming OP is talking about consumer drives.
