Fire mage, mana issues..

Hello, i would like to ask for some advice..

This is my alt, Justínka, fire mage.. http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...ínka/advanced (pls dont laugh, its alt on Ally, while all my other chars are horde + ally side on my realm is dead).

I think, that compared to my gear, im doing not bad DPS, having like 20-30k depending on boses and crit procs, and about 55-60k on madness (all in LFR).
BUT, i have really hard times to manage my mana. Especially on madness, but overall in DS, im having mana issues, could anyone help me?

As soon as you've used enough mana for a Mana Gem to not cap you, use it. And then use it on cooldown. It's off the GCD, so there's no DPS loss from using them.

id go against switching to mage armor in platforms.. simple reason u might forget to switch back resulting in a massive dps loss when u need it most.

with terrible gear u will have some mana issues, once u get 390 ilvl+ u wont even remember what evocation is.. till u try madness again.. .. i do evocation on one fight.. madness. and thats jus because it tends to last around 8-10 mins lol.

for you.. just use ur evocation as early as possible preferred when power torrent procs so u get a bigger boost.. as long as ur specc'd into master of elements u should be fine.

I'm 401 and I have huge mana issues there, if you're not retarded you can switch armors without a second thought, I use 3 mana gems and 2-3 evocations on that fight.

im usually paying attention to other things. like multidotting/keeping up will of unbinding.... plus the mana gain is so small ur wasting 2 globals when u could be dpsing instead.

When you run out of mana gems, if you have time after an Evocation, create some more. I use 3-5 per fight, depending on how my mana issues are. And yes, Evocation is your best friend. Make sure to use it at a time with minimal spell push-back; I've almost completely lost it due to poor timing when I'm desperate for mana. Mage armour between platforms is very useful. If you have trouble remembering to switch back to molten armour, try making a PowerAura or something to remind you. I think MageNuggets also has a nice reminder you can use.

actually i just have a good raid that aoes as well as i do... everyone using spellweave properly at the same time= dead adds fast.

As others said, Evo, Mana Gems and switch to Mage Armor between platforms. If you're really worried about forgetting about it for the few seconds (lol) you switch then get an AddOn such as Power/WeakAuras to track it.

Nope, full pve, but that fight is a bitch for mana just due to the fact of the extra haste you burn it alot quicker, and the length of the fight.

You'll use 2-3 evocates and 6+ mana gem uses on heroic madness. Even regular probably warrants an evocate plus a full gem.

If you're going oom on other fights, you're probably aoeing needlessly. At heroic gear level (honestly, at FL gear levels) you should not have mana problems on standard length fights.
