Definitely more customization.
At least let us choose from every hairstyle rather than a few selected from our race...
Player housing
Guild halls
New type of talents
New customization options
Something else entirely (post in thread)
Definitely more customization.
At least let us choose from every hairstyle rather than a few selected from our race...
Casters having to use skillshots instead of rolling their faces over keyboards. That'd finally make battleground playable for all.
A way to progress after max level so all that effort isn't wasted after each expansion.
Somthing to do outside dunegons other than quest eg "rifts" "dynamic events" etc (the wotlk pre event plague was a great start)
Class/ race vanity things similar to running wild, warlock floating soul shards etc
A way to make your efforts shown to the world...has been done with phasing but can still progess further with this...
An ingame story that isn't caused by the old gods sending someone insane...
- Separate PvP balance from PvE balance
- Fix PvP balance issues fast, don't wait for next expansion with that
- Get players out into the world (everywhere!) by giving enough incentives to do so. Pet battles and scenarios ain't gonna cut it for people who only raid or PvP. I think some sort of event system is needed here - and not something instanced like scenarios. Also, you would probably need to be able to access trade chat from everywhere.
- Introduce an option for dungeon finder to only search for people from your realm
- Better dungeon and raid layout (not design) - some of them are terribly straightforward and the trash is boring
I agree we need diversity in this game! Locks/Pala/Hunters/Priests were excellent in the old days, and had that simple things like benediction, pala mount q etc. that made playing that particular class special. Today they just feel the same.
Cata was a big failure for me. I never got the feel for it, and the rehashing of old instances was just not fun. I want more wilderness feel like TBC or the gothic feeling of wrath. Dynamic events would be a perfect start.
More incentives to create bigger guilds and do 25 man raids.
Guild/player housing not only don't add anything useful to game, they would be horrible additions. I don't want more functions that make players (and small guilds) focus on themselves instead of community. Single player games ---> that way.
Talents are being changed every expansion anyway. Customization options is something you do once when character is created, its not content and does not contribute much to game play.

Put a bit of the competition back into the game. If your guild isnt good enough to down a boss? then get better or its too bad - this is how computer games work.
Do away with tokens for gear. Every teir of raiding should be supported by 5 mans that drop gear allowing entry into the raids. Im all for allowing latecomers to catch up but do away with grinding tokens in instances that you out gear anyway.
Badge gear is in principle meant for those raiders that kill bosses but never get the drop they need.
Most serious raiders have experienced that single item slot you just never manage to upgrade no mater how often you kill bosses.
Thinks like non armor slots which are shared by allot of people (casters for example) are sometimes (read often) hard to upgrade when your competition is half the raid.
New engine. Almost impossible but with the amount of money Blizzard receives, it's do-able.
I picked player housing because that's one other thing i would want in WoW but the thing i want most in WoW is a Questing Companion. Someone that you help out in one of the quest lines could be a permanent party member that can help you out during questing. It would work just like non-combat pets they would follow you around and do a little extra damage to the enemies you fight. This would make the game more like an RPG where in other RPG games you help out someone and they join your party.
I can't think of the quests that have you and some other NPC working together on a quest line at the moment (i know there are a bunch) but one good example is Salandria from the Children's Week quests. When you complete all of her quests she says that the Blood Knights take her in for training. Now how cool would it be if you run into her later all grown up and you have to help her with a mission shes on or rescue a "captured" Paladin and it turns up that it's Salandria so you help her out with her quest then after you do that you become permanent companions and she'll help you out whenever you summon her. And maybe you get to choose how she helps you by specializing in healing or damage. What would be neat too if you can summon 2 party members so that you'll have a 3 man party and then they can bring back group quests that require more than 1 person instead of like it is now where all you do is breeze right through them.
I think this would so friggin' awesome if they do this someday.
DECAPITATIOOOOOOOONNNNN!!!
Gameplay innovation. Has been the same since release now. Let go of the old and boring MMO style combat etc.
I've been looking at guild revamps, actually. Because let's face it, the guild perks system didn't work as intended. Instead of making players want to stay dedicated to their guild, it actually served to retard the growth of smaller guilds because everyone gravitated toward the 200-member "just for the perks" guilds.

It's very difficult to do that without having to rework the entire game engine. I wouldn't hold you breath on that until WoW2. And even then, a "live" style of Gameplay would be a major turnoff.
well with the latest few on mop and cata. I think wow needs angry birds ingame. And a new engine defo a new engine.
Joey AdamsDo not worry about avoiding temptation. As you grow older it will avoid you.
I like the new engine idea, as for housing or guild halls, pointless. We have a way to hang out with our guildies it's called guild chat. Want to play house, and decorate it? try secondlife or half a dozen other sims.
