shatt on my main, i have the guild cape to sw ring to dalaran , tabard to argent etc, so shat is the only place that takes time to get to so i put it there. Alts sw and org expect one that i keep forgetting to move one from dalaran

Most are in SW. Main's in Shat (same reason as post above said). I also keep my mage in vash'jir just as something that can quickly grab the helm enchant over there if I end up needing that enchant on one of my other toons real quick.

Warsong Fortress in Borean Tundra for easy access to western Northrend and Un'Goro portal. If you don't complete quest that ports you to Dalaran, you'll have the free portal to there forever and people above already wrote why Dalaran is good.

Dalaran on all my 85s (Except Mage*). Has portal to major city which also puts me near the portal to the Dark Portal. Portal to CoT, so I can be at the southern end of either main continent pretty quickly. Dalaran has an AH now, and you can get around the city pretty quickly now with flying mounts. And Dal is pretty empty these days, so far less lag than in Wrath.

*RE Mage - I actually have no idea where her hearth is set. In fact, I'm sure I deleted it because I didn't need it. Between Mage portals, and all the Engineer teleports, she can be pretty much anywhere within minutes.
