Ingame music terrible? Wow, is that guy serious?

I am raider with 12 lv 85s, and - I LOVE the pet battle idea. (I'm not a pet collector, though I do collect mounts)
I'd like to point out that several of my friends and family members who left wow during Cata have returned for MoP, two of them came back BECAUSE of the pet battles (though one of those is a pet collector, I admit) and ALL my family members who play wow are over 18 and most are over 30 (I'm 50)

People who are stating that pet battles are a waste of time and development resources, are obviously not speaking for everyone, though they certainly seem to be trying to make it sound like they do.

Pet battles do not only appeal to kids. My husband and I are both well over 45 and we love the idea, as do most of our adult kids who play. Please.... just because YOU don't like the sound of something developed for MoP, don't assume the rest of us do not. I've been playing for nearly 5 years and I LOVE a ton of the new things they've added to Mists, INCLUDING Pet Battles.

The only changes I like to the background of the character screen are Human and Pandaren. The one for Tauren does not need any changing, and what they chose is so much worse. I also really dislike the thought seeing Orgrimmar in the background instead of SMC for blood elves and the... leaf stuff... for goblin. I want individuality to be shown.

Im certain they add a specific background for each race in the future... they're just not done yet...

WoW's music is some of the best music I and many of my friends who don't even know WoW, have heard. It is so amazing that I listened to it even though I didn't play Cata and I love "Xaxas". "Arthas my son" is a masterpiece and so any music related to it. Trial of the Crusader was a shit raid but the music was breathtaking. Night elf themes are amazing. Sunwell is awesome. SW, Org have great music. WoW have some of the best music in the gaming industry.

Whining about WoW's music is showing how worst the community have become. It is a shame.

Wow are like all the questions they picked from 12 year old spoiled little angry kids?Havent seen such stupid and basically retarded questions answered by blizzard like this in a long time.Basically all questions are QQ that seem to be written by the "I dont know how the game will be but I assume it will be shit so im done with your game AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT so that I feel important" bandwagon.It was cute for a while but now this QQ is just boring.

Awful music in WoW?Most people dont even know how the music is cause they play without it, I play without it too,but a lot of the time when I'm questing/lvling professions I listen to it and its pretty damn awesome and inspiring.I wonder in that person's mind what good music is for WoW, if what is presented to him is awful.

Can't wait for Pet Battles, too. I'm just gonna raid on the LFR, because I only really care about storylines and experiencing fights (even nerfed versions), and something else to do at a high level is awesome.

Pet battles did seem to have a large dedication of effort put towards it for basically being a do-nothing strip down of pokemon.

While not all programmers are interchangeable I can almost guarantee none of their specialties were specifically "vanity pet battle system creation" and nothing else.

I'm not saying Pet battles can't ever be added to WoW because it is purely useless but the amount of effort does seem to be unreasonable.

My personal opinion is that WoW-Pokemon shouldn't be a thing, but Logic says that that much effort shouldn't of been awarded to it when there has been things people have been already asking for for years (Housing, New dances as promised, etc.) and better/useful inclusions.

The Pet Battles are mostly being handled by the UI team. While quest teams, art teams and terrain teams have a LOT to do when expansions come out, the UI team doesn't really have too much besides making sure pop-ups and panes work correctly. It stands to reason they might be put to work on something that essentially comes down to a UI centric mini-game that a lot of people have asked for in the past. They don't have the expertise to update models or create phased houses, but by golly, can they link an option panel to a journal!

As someone who has already quit WoW, I feel like I'm watching it slowly collapse under it's own weight.

Onward to greener pastures with me. Probably Guild Wars 2.

WoW is on it's way down. I had thought that after the cataclysm debacle Blizzard would have learned their lesson. Instead they are doubling down with MoP. After playing in beta I was so disgusted with MoP and its "more of the same" approach that I uninstalled it and uninstalled WoW. Blizzard is milking the game at this point, nothing more. I saw the same thing happen in EQ1 but at least in EQ1 the xpac's released new progression features rather than gimicks.

The time was never more ripe for a competitor to knock WoW off it's perch. Someone needs to step up and do that.
