Question about Rogues? Do you find them extremely squishy?

So I tried my wife's rogue out the other night (ilvl 335 combat) because I've always wanted to try a max level rogue and my biggest concern was how squishy the rogue felt. Now since the low ilvl I was running with not that well geared players (a couple tanks weren't great) but it felt like if the boss even farted I died. Is this normal or does it get better with better gear?

Basically in a random dungeon. I haven't tried high end pvp but the stealth would help big time for that. I haven't tried questing much but I was thinking they would feel squishy there too.

Yes Rogue are squishy, i think all classes have more armour than rogues (cloth class with demon/frost/etc armor) but u have cooldowns, evasion/clos/vanish
    Dungeon shouldn't be a problem

No. Rogues aren't squishy if played correctly.

You almost have a tool for every occasion in case boss/mob/random AoE hits you. Faint, Cloak of Shadows, Evasion and even Combat Readiness are just few of the ways in which rogue can survive in PVE environment.

I feel squishy when I get stunned, 1 sec stun is painful enough. I don't really feel them same against stuns when I play other classes mostly since most have atleast 1-2 ability they can use when stunned.

Squishy isn't exactly the way I feel when playing my rogue. In fact, with all my cooldowns up I feel more durable than my prot paladin...

Well thats good to hear =)

I'll continue leveling my own rogue then and see what happens. I'm not surprised to hear that it was more the player than the class, but I was worried that it might be the class. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Learning to use feint at the right time will go a long way to improving your survivability on a boss fight. When glyphed it costs nothing more than a GCD, and it reduces AOE damage taken by 50%. A ton of boss mechanics fall into this category, and rogues are typically at the bottom of the damage-taken meter on every fight because of this.

Only time I feel squishy is when I get a stun and is nuked by a rogue and paladin or feral druid or something at the same time. Other than that, the rogue is the most awesome survivor I have ever played in this game!

A mobile rogue with cooldowns/recup is nearly unkillable. A stunned rogue dies in seconds. Their survivability is pretty situational.

I feel extremly mobile and durable whenever I'm playing my rogue, being stunned however does leave its damage.
