wont happen as it falls under "on line gambling" Gambling is illegal in some countries which wow is played. so they would have to have regional versions for these countries, and limit people who are in these countries to those servers only.

Even in the countries that do allow gambling there is an age restriction (usually 18 or above) meaning that Blizzard could get into a heap of trouble with the law over running a Casino which underage people could have access too.

Would be fun, just as long as it remains purely in-game.

I get banned when I'm drunk.

If I want to gamble, I call up a couple of friends and we get together and play. I see no point of having it in a game. And also as far as I'm aware in a majority of countries there's 18(20) age limit on gambling. I know there's drinking in WoW aswell and that's on an age limit but this is really not the same thing while drinking in the game you don't get any of the feelings etc. you get from a few beers or what your drink of choise is, while gambling if you win a good chunk of gold you get this small rush of satisfaction that makes you want to play again and win.

So even if couple of people would like it as a way to spend time in between dungeons or bgs it most likely never going to happen.

Sure why not, if people don't like em they don't have to go.

Personally, no, I wouldn't like it, because it's just not my thing.

No real reason something like this couldn't be added, though I believe that gambling is currently against the ToU, so that would probably have to change, and would potentially prevent them from adding something so blatant (unlike Fortune Cards).

I think it would be more (legal) trouble than it's worth.

Just curious, is it considered gambling if the gold you win is only usable in the game universe? That would be stupid imo...

No, just no, having something that can be highly addictive inside an already highly addictive game wouldn't be good. It would get to the point where more people would spend time there and not do other things that farm mats, run lfg or lfr, among others. If I'm a gold farmer I'd much rather sit in one spot and gamble rather then fly from node to node, less farmers=price rise on those farmable items. Plus like a poster above me stated, alcohol in wow won't make you an alcoholic in real life, while on the other hand you do get a rush while gambling which could turn some folks into gamblers in real life. Just my opinion, to each their own though.

Would be fun. Slot machines for those, who want to keep the risk low, poker, blackjack etc. for those, who want to play against each other. With everything the goblins could think of a casino is a prime example.

At first I read "Casio" and I thought "why yes, I would start an awesome band."

A casino would be pretty cool too though, I guess.

    Ideas for gambling in wow

NPC arena Fights just go to a goblin and bet on who will win RNG decides but maybe you can have favourites maybe even support gladiators like they did in roman times

Spin the wheel bet on which number it will land on

    any other ideas?

Player ran casinos using the /random 1-100 were very popular in the capital cities back in Classic. Blizzard put the clamps on them back then, so I'm not sure they'd be so keen on starting up a Blizzard sanctioned version. But then again the philosophies have changed over time so who can say.

I would love it. We used to do it on my server at the beginning of Wrath. A dwarf toon would put on the tuxedo and stand on the fountain in Stormwind's Trade District. A bunch of us would line up to play. It was all in good fun, but Blizzard nixed it.

As for the gambling worries, it's with in game gold, so what's the problem? People buying gold from the gold sellers to play? People are already doing that to buy stuff off the AH.

I would like it though. Fortune Cards are not the same at all.

Ya, we all remember what happened with Pokemon, Idk if the Teen rating allows it.

Put Arena's on spectator mode and put money on arena matches.... this would be too epic for blizz to ever come up with.. but in the future...they can have a ratio based on rating too so a 1800 vs 2200 would have a higher payout for the lower rating.
You must return here with a shrubbery or else you will never pass through this wood...alive. One that looks nice. And not too expensive.
