Moo, are you happy now?
Terrible change, does Feral really deserve baseline Disentanglement again? On top of roots/slows being broken by Dash and Stampeding Roar? Really? I have a feeling they didn't think that one through. Disentanglement for Resto only, slow break for Feral/Boomkin, Dash and Stampeding Roar still break slows/roots. That's it. I don't understand why this is even a discussion.
I would cry tears of happiness if druids actually got their full shift abilities back and it made it to MoP launch. I know everyone else would shed tears for other reasons but it's a feature of the class that I thought was fun and unique. I hated sitting around in cat or bearform with my thumb in my ass getting beat on because Dash was still on cooldown. =/
Lol, this was me when I saw the initial nerf announcement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1l588Ksl6Y
PS: I'm no theorycrafter or hardcore pvper, I'm just an average player commenting on the news, so easy now dissenters.
As it was before, i would still have taken Disentanglement for PvE because the heal was more usefull to me than the other two. So we'd have ended up with something like 95% of Druids taking Disentanglement, which is just horrible talent design and necessitates that we be balanced on the assumption that we have it anyway, so they might as well make sure we do.
On a different note, NV averages out to a 5% throughput increase, which should be about the same as what 6% agi/int get us. DoC is going to be a bit more complicated to hammer out, i guess.

I wouldn't be very surprised to see NV be more than twice as potent for DPS in it's current form.
Well thank god... so much spellcleaves in 3v3 nowdays and every 2nd Team has a mage in it, all this means is my healer wont be dispelling me 24/7 so i can finally get close to do some damage
on the side note tho if Resto will be fixed ull see 90% of Druids will rerol back to resto. I will be one of them, mostly because of Savage Roar revirted back to old disign.

Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.
As a resto druid who will never play feral...I support this change. Run free my kitty brothers and sisters, run free!
Finally I can spec balance and not have to powershift with moonkin form to break roots. Travel form rejoices.
On the other hand, this might be a sad day for my mage whenever I see hungry feral druids. Oh well I guess its worth it, considering they should have never removed this particular feature from the class.
- You assume that 6% Agi are equal to 6% damage. If all of our abilities were free of any form of base damage or weapon dps this would be true.
- You assume fight lengths as multiples of 3 minutes. Uptime will greatly increase if we deviate from those multiples. So your averaged out 5% are actually the minimum average.
Taking the current numbers NV is probably more powerful (maybe even twice as powerful) as HotW. But we are still far from fine tuning. I do expect changes to those numbers.
But yeah, these are most likely just rough ballpark numbers to get the stuff in the game.
I love the amount of QQ and butthurt here.
Let me teach you a few things. You say "90-100% uptime". And this, my darlings, is laughable.
Actually you can CC a cat with many abilities:
Any stuns (too many to list them)
Howl of Terror
Psychic Horror/other horror effects
I'm not sure which abilities go away with MoP, but given the variety of available choices, the argument of "100% uptime" appears conspicuously ridiculous, if you ask me. I'm not even saying a word about the drop of survivability due to the spec split.
But our mages can only whine when their domination in PvP over one spec due to this change is about to end. Why can't you sit back and relax, drink some cider and deal with it?
While I did mention base damage (for completeness' sake) I also mentioned weapon dps which will have a rather big impact. E.g. if our weapons dps will contribute 25% of our total dps an additional 6% Agi translates into an additional 4.5% damage.
