I saw a good idea on the official forums, instead of Rupture being a dot it should be a physical debuff that causes us to do extra bleed damage on each of our special attacks, a bit like the Ret mastery. It suffers the same problem of adding further ramp-up and harming target switching but at least it would no longer be a flat 25% Hunger for Blood type situation.

give sub the refresh when evis back = fixed for sub
combat -> rupture ticks generate insight charges like sinister strike does for bandits guile trade of of lower damg from the rupture to get to deep insight faster -> meaningfull choice!

That'd be most of a fix, but currently, sub has lost every vestige of use -- quicker target swap, target swap burst, and increased self heal/survivability -- so needing to apply a bleed as a finisher to actually start on a new target would relegate sub specifically to single-target same-target DPS (like combat with anticipation down currently).

That's a BIT of an overstatement. It definitely would punish target swap a lot, however. You'd need to throw up a rupture (of some size) immediately upon swapping, so anything that doesn't live very long would simply be better handled by anyone else.

I'm much more concerned about what this does in pvp, when you HAVE to swap, and you don't have nearly the same flood of combo points.

i guess they expect us to be able to switch bete once your 90 and you either have a self combo generation when above 5 or the no cd redirects talent. thats said i was really happy with my idea for combat rupture as it places the spot you would rupture at the same place it is currently ie low/no insight so for those who are pushing top parses and want that 1%~ gain from rupture atm it's now more likely to be used and also means you have a way of refreshing insight if you get seperated from a target as the ticks will keep it up longer than otherwise ( so keep your deadly and the damg of the rupture itself) buffed via insight.

sub losing recoup from it';s rotation and no longer having rupture refreshed has made sub lose to much from what it currently has when combied with losing an ability due to how certain tiers we have 2 sub abilities to pick from which currently we have both of.

Don't forget that this would only apply to targets that will live for a long time... versatility won't exactly be effective for switching to the bolt on Madness if you needed DPS there, or the burning tentacles, mana voids, flail/eye on Zon'ozz (and would require giving up anticipation)... most of these "short" target swap mechanics left sub rogues in a great place for A) survivability, B) target-swap-burst, and C) mobility. It's all gone! Not to be the doomsday speaker, but there isn't any other reason (mechanically speaking) to play sub, at all.
