Will there be dances?

So, I was in the BWE and I noticed there wasn't any "Dances" for the races. Will there be dances? I don't care either way, but I'm just curious if there will be.

What do you people think? Will there be dances? Has anyone heard anything from ANet officials about this? If so, what do you think each race will get? Why am I asking so many questions?

I'm really REALLY hoping Charr will get the male elementalist dance from GW1

Hard to imagine a mainstream MMO not having dances in 2012. Esp. in light of the first Guild Wars having some really good dances. Even dance choruses.

Good point. I hope they're based more off profession so that way we can have many variations of races doing different dances.

I really think they may be based on professions, i doubt making 10 dances would be all that complicated especially since they'd just be like male charr does X, then again i'm not a programer and could be horribly mistaken!! I have a feeling they may be -trying- to do it on prof atm or maybe just can't decide what they'd do for each race yet *shrugs* i really want to see it based on prof though so there would be more variety.

Races most likely. Easier to pin down the animations.

True, BUT each prof had different animations (for the most part), i'd really like to see it be prof, but like you said it'd be MUCH easier to do it per race, which is fine, i'd have no problems with that... especially if charr do the male elementalist dance from GW1

Well, ease plays apart of it- sure. But identity is also huge.

"Oh that's the Undead dance!"
"Oh that's the High Elf dance!"

A psychological trick to deepening racial distinction.

There was a dancing female Asura in.. I believe it was Queensdale.
Just a random fact for anyone curious. It was an asura who needed help escorting her (I think it was female, don't remember) mini dancing moa birds to.. I think beetletun? She turned into a vendor afterward that sold http://www.gw2db.com/items/50643-mini-moa-egg

Anyways, long story short, some of us may have possibly already seen the female asura dance. I PROBABLY should have recorded it.. oops.

Paragon Male, Ranger Male and Female Necro were the best dances. Assassin Males was alright.

Warrior (M&F), Monk (M&F) and MESMER were the worst.

I remember a norn in that dredge cave in the norn starting zone that did some spastic flailing after beating the dredge boss.

If we had to separate it by something other than race, I'd choose like.. Legion for the Charr, gods for the humans, spirit for the norn. That would be pretty cool, but unlikely.
