Convince me that I'm wrong to be massively disappointed by D3 compared to D2

ive played diablo 2 for years and the only bad thing (Besides bots and rampart spamming) were the very OP items you could buy with real money. the fact that blizzard is embracing the worst aspect of diablo 2 is a sign of their ignorance and greed. how fun is a game you pay to win? i guess if you dont pay real money you wont do well in pvp...like diablo 2

You think that people didn't buy items in your precious D2? You thought the low levels in Diablo 2 fun? Auto attacking and walking cause you had no stamina? Furthermore, the RMAH has zero impact on pvp. There is no ranking in pvp. It's just linear progression based on time. If you were to buy items from the RMAH, your personal ranking probably goes up, and you start facing tougher teams after which you will drop to about the same win percentages, which means you still progress at the same speed to your goal.

Wow try reading before you reply? He said "only bad thing (Besides bots and rampant spamming) were the very OP items you could buy with real money." Note, he said the only bad things in D2 were bots, spamming, AND BUYING ITEMS WITH REAL MONEY. How does that equate to "You think that people didn't buy items in your precious D2?" in your mind? He not only didn't say he thought people didn't buy items, he SPECIFICALLY NAMED PEOPLE BUYING ITEMS as one of the bad things of D2!
