Yeah, just pointing out that what they said wasn't in reference to WoE like a bunch of people seem to think it was. If it actually happens or not is obviously up in the air because they always BS the Q&A panels, though sometimes the stuff they talk about ends up happening.

TBH I gave up expecting anything good after WoW: Green Jesus.

Illidan's return would have to be something out of an alternate timeline. Bringing him back from his BT iteration would just be bad story telling. Bringing him back in general isn't much better. What role? Well, Demon Hunter as either a class or a spec for warlocks would be empty without Illidan being a posterchild and possibly the Night Elf trainer for it. Just so long as he's a Night Elf hero and not another sickeningly neutral sod like Malfurion it could be a good thing. Illidan should only rep the horde by carrying their severed heads on his belt.

and what does this ave to do with his body ? the question was linked to his missing body... so no, well of eternity doesn't count

That not really a fact, more of an opinion up for debate
Well, first he betrays his people and joins Queen Azsahara in helping demons come into the world. Then explains, "oh, i was jk! i'm on your side." Then sets up another well of eternity, getting caught by Maive's brother. Killing the guard that was with him and almost killing her brother as well. He was imprisoned for ten thousand years. Let out by tyrande. Corrupts himself to defeat Tichondrius.

Fast foward, he kills countless number of watchers as maive tries to take him down. Nearly destroys the roof of the world, northrend. Goes to outland, "frees" outland, only to replace it as it's ruler and putting the rest of the denizens, including the dreanei there, into slavery.

He's not a good guy. He hasnt been a good guy for sometime now. He is a selfish power hungry night elf that only worries about himself. He's an anti hero for sure, but he's not a good guy. There's no debate.

No my quote was meant in general
In was directed toward "whenther ends justify the means", not toward's Illdain's case specifically

I thought you were trying to make the case that Illidan's actions had ends that justified the means.

He will reappear in Mists, having changed his name to Beeridan and he will be worshiped by drunk pandas. Witness Protection Program was hidin him out the whole time with SI:7 approval due to his potential usefulness against the corrupted Titan Sargeras, and the Burning Legion.

He will work closely with the rest of the uncorrupted Titans to battle Sargeras and Velen's former friends Archimonde and Kil'jaeden, and reseal all the Old Gods in their prison. Then Ulduar will reappear in Caverns of Time, where we fight a raid of NPC players to prevent them from defeating Algalon, to destroy the planet with the Old Gods resealed inside it, while everyone escapes to a newly TitanTerraformed planet populated solely by lv 95 Elite NPC Guards that are aggressive against both factions, and wield Thunderfuries. When they are not killing everyone, they are spam linking their Thunderfuries in worldwide general chat, which will not be able to be turned off.

Well Illadins case is still opnion too
I mean, infusing himself with demonic energies to defeat a powerful dreadlord?
Was it worth it? Depends how u feel and think
Destrying the Lich King and the Scourge and saving Azeroth from one of its greatest threats, in exchange for the lives of Watchers Illdain probably had a personal vendeatta against?
Again, there is no right or wrong answer

Yea if you ignore everything else he did. He's called the betrayer for more than one reason you know. He's killed his own on more than one occasion, and not always for a "good reason". That's not up to debate.

They already brought illidan back in one of the new 5 mans.

    I don't think that qualifies.

Technically he didnt really "come back" to the world of warcraft, that instance was in the past so he didnt truly come back, that was just his younger self before outlands.

Technically it qualifies. But given how strongly they talked him up, I doubt that was all for just an appearance for an RP event.

As long as he has new and updated Glaives that can DROP.

WRONG! Those are the BEST discussions!

They were clearly talking about a resurrection.

whats also not up to debate is that some of his actions, if succesful would have been to Azeroth's benefit

Nothing in Mists. But the expansion after that is Legion related, so Illidan fits there.
