Account-Wide Mounts: Do you like it?

So ... it kills motivation. Easy having the same mounts on all your characters. But this one demotivates to play with alts and have another challenge at getting them.

Very bad move.

On the contrary, it motivates people to play their alts without having to screw around trying to find groups to run old raid content with to get mounts, not to mention the endless "main vs alt" rolling criteria. This makes it easier for people to play their alts for *gameplay*. People with your purview are in the minority.

Well your alts didn't deserve them, so they should not be getting them.

I already look forward to the lvl 40 green equiped rogue that rides around on a Raven Lord with a title of Kingslayer above his head.

I will one up you about the Ravenlord, it should've been ONLY summoned by a druid and ONLY available to druids. How about that? I had to fight him for my druids epic flight form back in BC, it wasn't something you could just waltz in solo and faceroll at 80 or 85 (which is all that it is now, so who cares if a lvl 40 has it?)
They won't have Kingslayer available til 80, not that the title meant anything even back in wrath...

I'm pretty sure you need to farm the title itself on one character (as in, HKs/rep won't stack across characters), but when it's done once it'll be available for all of them. I think so, anyway; could be wrong. It does seem logical, despite the vagueness.

Fingers and toes crossed... I have a bundle of sweet titles that my alts need.

Love it. Now all my characters can sail through the air on a Rusted Proto-Drake and ride around on a White Hawkstrider.

I freaking love it. Zulian Tiger, Raven Lord, Scarab mount from archaeology, all the netherwing mounts, the meta mounts from raids, what is there not to love? I played my main way too long just because of the mount / pet / achievements, so I am 100% excited about this change!

The more I read from the people against it being account-wide, the more I want it to happen JUST TO SPITE THEM.

I would love every mount and pet on all my toons (w/ the exception of class specific mounts, and I'm fine not being able to use prof mounts on alt w/o that prof)

Titles I'm not concerned with as much, but why not. Would love to roll an alt an have a lvl 1 with Savior just to make hardcores rage.

Against the argument "Your alt didn't earn it" Really, really? You call taking an alt back into a faceroll instance just to farm a mount form outdated content "earning" it?
You call getting a high roll on a random drop "earning" it? You call wearing a stupid tabard while doing dungeons "earning" it? Please, you're playing a video game, you have earned nothing. Go to college if you wanna earn something.

As an altoholic who loves mounts/pets .. this is a hell yes from me lol. I hoped that this day would come a couple years ago when I chose to pass on the Razzashi raptor to someone because my alt (one that rarely gets played nowadays) had it. Yay for good karma. :3

Provided once you add the mount there are no restrictions, I'll be happy.

That way I can get an engineer flying mount on one char, then use it on my monk.

no you cant, blizzard have already stated in a blue post yesterday or the day before, that you can't have faction / profession based mounts accessible to other character of a different faction / not the right profession or level.

But yes Im looking forward to it, ill gain 3-4 mounts, from alts that I dont have on my main, which is a pain in the arse atm

I look at it this way. The more they make account-wide, the more likely I am to do things on my alts and not just the one or two characters I try to keep up as 'mains'. As things are now in live, friends will ask me to go heal some old raid for them because they know I'm too nice to say no. I do it (because I AM too nice to say no, most of the time), then I end up kinda resenting it because I really wanted that mount/achievement on one of my other characters, and over time this has made me more likely to just not go because I don't want to get things on an alt I don't really want to play very much.

Why you wouldn't like this change is pure lunacy. Even the people who make money off mounts should realize that this will only increase sales. It seems counter intuitive but more people will be willing to dump money on expensive mounts now that they'll have it forever on any toon that they want. New players come to WoW all the time.

I love it because I've just obtained some hot Ashes of Al'ar, own a Crimson Deathcharger and have the ToGC mounts which cannot be obtained anymore

How exactly is this going to work?

If one of my characters has a mount, do all my characters gain access to that mount? Or will it be like... trading the mount from alt to alt?

How will this work with factions? Will my human DK finally get to ride a wolf?

Right now on beta is like that, mounts and pets got a new tab, every mount shows up for everyone.

The only complaint here that is a compelling argument is stuff like no one wanting to do Glory of the Hero anymore because they all have their red proto drakes already. Except the problem is, no one does those anymore anyway.

When I want to do a Vortex run for farming the drake, or old school runs for any reason be it transmog, mounts, titles, companion pets, I have friends and guildies that would join and help me. I got my Glory achieves with them as well, way more organized. I mostly stay away from trade pugs, not only is it more fun to go with friends but if they're going to help, you don't have to worry about someone taking what you went there for. i.e my friend who does the vortex runs with me has no interest in the drake, just goes to keep me company.

I just don't understand anyones reasoning behind "that alt doesn't deserve that!". It must be only by people who don't have the time, patience or skill to get any so-called "rare" achievements. Majority of the ones they call out are easy to get anyways, BC, Wrath and Cata rep mounts can be done by any scrub, you can buy Blackwing's Bane, of the Four Winds, Dragonslayer, Firelord and Savior of Azeroth. Who's to say you even earned it? Honestly by earning it you have had to killed it during progression. Life-Binder's Handmaiden, I was lucky to win it on one of the earlier kills, but eventually everyone in my raid will have it, and people buy that too. Any Pre-Cata mount drop is ridiculously easy to get as well, I don't care how low of a drop rate it was, anybody can get those mounts if they try for them.
